Café Felix - That little place in Sydney, Australia that David accidentally found, where he had his first scotch egg. The food was absolutely textbook perfect, so I don’t think it will be his last, but I fear that every Scotch egg after that will be a disappointment. @davidroz815
Standing in front of his paddy harvest, Nhaem seemed to blend right into the colorations of the neatly piled stacks of paddy (aka rice) behind him.
But as he talked - I easily observed that he wasn’t a “blend in” “status quo” type of guy.
He’s a front line organic rice farmer in his village.
And his work with trialing different varieties of rice will help the other farmers of his village and ensure that we at One Degree have access to the best quality of organic rice possible.
Thank you Nhaem and to all Ibis rice farmers!
Now what was it we were talking about?... Frankly I don’t remember.
But I do remember how enchanting it was to exchange the pleasure of appreciation for one another as we stood there chatting in languages that neither of us understood. 😊
For my part of the convo - I wanted her to know how much I admired her and appreciate their family growing truly sustainable organic rice for us.
As for her - I’m not sure - maybe she was telling me that she couldn’t believe that I’d travelled 4,000 miles just to come to their organic farm... 😊
