So, my Japanese friends who are going to see this are gonna be 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃 𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐍!🌱

🍃Nikkei is the official term for the Peru-born children of Japanese immigrants.
Because Peru didn’t have the ingredients used in Japan, the Japanese looked for alternatives to replace them. For example, the Japanese potato was replaced by the Peruvian one, mustard by turnip and they included Peruvian Chili🌶 and pisco among other new ingredients...
Over the years, as the population of Japanese people grew, they began to import some products from Japan for the preparation of their meals. The story is a little long and I would LOVE to tell you it entirely, but Instagram won’t let me🥺.
So to make it shorter, this plate right here is a Nikkei plate, a Japanese-Peruvian(🇯🇵-🇵🇪) fusion.
It’s called Maki. And y’all are gonna be 𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏? –𝘠𝘌𝘚! 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 '𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢'. It's basically–𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦– crunchy shrimp 🍤 and avocado 🥑 wrapped in Nori algae, sometimes it has a little bit of sweet potato on the inside too.
Rice and raw tuna on the top.
For the top Sauce(in this case, for the ‘Acevichado’ one), it is a lemon-taste sauce/mayonnaise that reminds us to ceviche, a Peruvian traditional dish🌼.
It is really amazing❣️.
🌿So, 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘶𝘺𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦. 𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘐 𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘯?
𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘮𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸!✨
Well, that’d be everything from me for today! Have a BEAUTIFUL day🌱!!
𝑺𝒆𝒆 𝒚𝒂', 𝑼𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍 𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒕 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒕! 🌻
