I still haven’t seen Halloween. That says a lot.
, written by #MichaelLeSieur

, tells the story of, well fuck, you all know how the story goes. The Grinch hates Christmas, so he plans on stealing it. A simple classic storybook, & a simple classic cartoon special. Nothing more, nothing less. Sooo, this movie exists. It’s pretty bland to say the least. Why much Cumberbatch do this? WHY??
So yes, this is one very forgettable movie with a talented cast (who aren’t given much to do) & nice visuals. The story is very mediocre, & it’s executed poorly. Both the first & second acts are pretty damn pointless. It’s just a bunch of scenes with no connection. The Grinch hates Christmas, & Cindy Lou wants to make her mom happy. That’s about it. They hardly connect, like at all. Besides that, I’d say the whole Christmas stealing sequence is well done, although extremely fast for my taste. Along with that, the narrator (#PharrellWilliams
) is just bad. He’s a solid singer, but damn, he was so bland. Speaking of blandness, #BenedictCumberbatch
had hardly any charm playing the Grinch. He has a few decent jokes, & two scenes which I found pretty funny & relatable, & that’s all. He has odd motives, & isn’t as memorable as Carrey or Karloff.
I honestly don’t have much else to say. This is a first for me. Holy shit. I have nothing else to say. Wow. Then again, it’s the Grinch. One of the simplest storybooks ever. It doesn’t require a full-length feature. Hell, the Jim Carrey one is better than this, & that is around two hours long. Wow, I’m just blown away by how little I have to say. It’s forgettable. That’s it. It’s not awful, but I know damn well I’m never seeing it again any time soon.
It’s One Thumb Down👎. I’m literally laughing because of how dull this review came out. But hey, the movie is also dull, so it makes sense. Enjoy, & like always, this is SirMovieGeek telling you to Geek On!! #geekingout #moviereviews #filmlovers #moviecommunity #hegetsmeaner
