What if you could fly? What if you had to fly 3,000 miles every winter across all of North America; in search of food and avoiding predators? I bet you would be grateful for people who spend millions of dollars protecting what little remains of your habitat. Hunters love animals as much as preservationists. I’m tired of seeing the anti hunting narrative on my instagram feed from wildlife photographers. Put up or shut up; show me one project to “save the whales” that has done 1/10th of what waterfowl hunters have done to ensure future generations of people will experience ducks (and duck hunting). Show me how hunting bans have helped any species. Show me a future with no hunting and I will see no wild animals; only more people and less habitat. The “artists activists” will have moved on to something else in the new digital landscape that is to come. Only the hunter has remained in favor conserving wildlife since the beginning of our species. I hope we hang on.
