-New India Gate- I am always down to try a new Indian restaurant. This place has a Sunday lunch buffet that’s under $10 so it was an easy decision to try. I basically had everything that they offered and it was all very tasty. It’s always kinda fun to do buffets with food that you’re not as familiar with. Gives the opportunity to really experience more. It came with some fresh garlic naan as well.
MONDAY NIGHT SUPPER: Chicken and dumplings with peas, carrots and chicken thighs in gravy. Starts at 4pm!

The Fiesta Salad has chopped romaine, grilled chicken breast, avocado, red onions, grape tomatoes, asadero jack & cheddar cheese, and tricolor tortillas strips, all tossed with homemade chipotle ranch dressing. It reminds me of a taco salad my family would always make when we were kids!

is not my speed but if you love whiskey, here's your place. It has dark romantic lighting and cocktails with stuff you won't be familiar with. These WTF biscuits came with crème fraîche and as seasonal fig jam. You know my bougie ass had to try it and it was alright. Sorry for the pic, I was hungrier than I thought.
Date Rating: 🔥🔥🔥 out of 5. This date was surprising because it was with Cory, the middle school science teacher. I fear there are very mixed signals happening. 😂 Happy Hour was fine, we caught up and spoke about more sensitive topics like racism, the fate of the country, and gender roles. We split the tab. I'm my world, that means we're friends, right? It's only our second date. Well Cory and I ended up getting "intoxicated" and we ended up at a wine bar and played Jenga and then he wouldn't stop talking. I was so focused on the game and he was just going on and on. He kissed me at the end of the night and it wasn't one of my better ones. I could have sworn I was giving off friend vibes. When I texted him when I got home, he said it wanted to do it again. Nothing excites me about the prospect of kissing him again. I just wanna hang out and talk about random stuff. I'll have to break this to him gently. Wish me luck. ————————————————————

-Salut Kitchen Bar- Tried this place on a whim last night and we were blown away. They have amazing service and the vibe of the place is awesome. Frank Sinatra was playing most of the night which will get me every time! They are classified as Mediterranean American and they nailed it. The first picture was the Brie Hive sandwich, and a side of their Salut Fries. The sandwich was great but I’m always a sucker for anything toasted and with Brie cheese on it. The fries were super unique, almost like a thinly cut steak fry. They paired perfectly with the sandwich. We also got some of the Hummus Nachos which were great as well. The balsamic that was drizzled over the top made it even better!
