Practice what you preach. I often talk to clients about making time for their health. Most of the time, I'm on it. I foam roll regularly, have a daily flow practice (pilates/yoga/foundation training mash up), eat healthy, get enough sleep, and get some fresh air everyday. But some days, things are thrown off, I forget to pack a lunch, or pack my schedule a little too tight. .
I caught myself the other day in this very scenario, forgot my lunch, back-to-back commitments with only a 20 minute window in a 6 hour day. Since I was at a client's in south OB, I called ahead to Little Lion Cafe and ordered a superfood bowl. After the session, I headed down the hill, picked it up, walked over to the first bench on the cliffs and savored a solid 10 minutes of fresh air, delicious food, and full breaths. .
I know days don't always go as planned, but those are the days when finding time for your health is even more important. .
