Just several days out of Melbourne and I miss my morning starts / evening wind-downs at @loveathletica.
🙏🏻🌿 It’s funny how certain exercise becomes routine — to the point where your body really does crave it. I used to be such an outdoor workout kinda gal, and by that, I mean I mostly just ran. 🏃♀️ I loved it — until, of course, I had a bad run and hated it. Or something happened to my foot and I had no other [familiar or appealing] alternative. 🤷🏽♀️ Nowadays, a long run is rare for me [not that it isn’t an ability I want to hold onto]. For now, I find that gravitate towards functional training at the gym and Pilates at @loveathletica.
I never thought I’d say the next part, but I dabbled in a couple of park workouts here in NZ; also for a break, not working out at all. 👌🏼 And very quickly, I missed the gym.. almost in the same way I missed my Pilates classes. Whilst the latter was expected [I’m certain I won’t find anything quite like LA elsewhere, beginning with the positive energy of the studio], the fact I’ve become someone who LOVES the gym is, well, a shock. 😅 No doubt I’ll still give the side-eye to people who go to walk on the treadmill on a beautiful day [like come on, why aren’t you outside], I’m officially a convert when it comes to other training.
On that note, earlier today I signed up for a two week stint at @jettsnz
, a gym near me to keep up my training over Christmas. 😎 Life’s a balance and if you love something, crave it and benefit from it, I’d say do it! 👏🏻 P.S. I struggled to find almost any other gym that would cater to my quick visit so super impressed that Jetts does! Other gyms who call theirs a lifestyle, what you doin’ not allowing me to live it?! 🤣 I want to know: what’s your attitude to training this Christmas?? 👇🏻👇🏻
