So the story of the butterfly cake.... It was a Friday night and I had finished my work for the the day. I was looking forward to go pick up my daughter from school then chill out in front of the TV for once. But little did I know... An email from school comes with an attachment: 'Bake off competition. Bring your cake on Monday for the chance to win a little prize. All money from the sales will go to charity.' Well, we HAD to right?... There goes my Friday night off and my Sunday afternoon... (it was lovely out too!). Luna and I made this. Yes, I did help her but she made most of it. She is very creative my Luna. She proudly takes the cake to school on that Monday. There were 4 prizes. I didn't expect her to win the 1st, 2nd, even 3rd but NOTHING??? The cake was even rainbow coloured sponges inside as well!!! I suspect she may have been disqualified because her mum runs a cake business. Ok, it's the taking part that matters, blah, it's for a good cause, blah... but still... FAIR? Or I simply am fooling myself and the cake looks shitter than any cake 4 to 11 year old kids could make? Haha. In fact, I have just received another email for kids to enter a Salsa competition. Maybe she should enter that instead. NO chance I can help her with that one. NOT for me, thanks. All those happy people dancing hahahahaha. What do you think peeps?
