Under the fault line, under the rabbit, beginner's luck became a creature of habit.

Not all those who wander, are lost.
Obstacles do not block the path, they are the path.
[McMechen Soldier] A year later lugged a man raft through the insidious "triangle of desolation" only to discover inside the stream bed had shifted not requiring it. However there is no free lunch, the silt deposits back in there are no different then quick sand. Eventually documentation will be published on the website . so stay tuned. #ronniek
[Gwendolyn's Forgotten Man-Child] Work intensive to get into this. Had to paddle a man raft into this one after carrying it through treachery, 2 years later finally made it inside! More to come from this high volume storm interceptor . . .#ronniek

I liked this better in monochrome – the graff plastered all over it isn’t so obvious. Burnt-out and trashed little chateau in a city park (South of France). The chateau’s been empty since 2010 and before vandals got at it, it was still a gracious residence. The second shot is from 1980 (not my image). From the early 20th century until it closed in 1987, the property was a celebrated and well-renowned nursery, boasting 16 hectares of orchards as well as a spectacular ornamental garden. . . . #neverstopexploring #lostplaces #theforgottenspaces #architecturelovers #exploreeverything #kings_abandoned #rsa_preciousjunk #jj_urbex #placehacking #abandon_seekers_ #team_urbex #abandoned_excellence #thehub_decay #discarded_butnot_forgotten #tesoriabbandonata #infinity_unguarded #mostimpressiveurbex #all_is_abandoned #urbex_disciple #urbex_underground #alerurbex #froggy_explorers #urbex_utopia #bandorebelz #forgotten_republic #sombrexplore #G_S_I #nature_takes_over #urbexplaces
Southern annexe of the former secure Erindale Ward for Difficult Men, part of the old Glenside Hospital historic precinct. Built to house the more acute/disturbed male psychiatric patients, need for this ward was identified when it was realised the disruptive behaviour of these men on the general male wards negatively impacted the recovery time of those suffering milder mental health conditions. Erindale's been left derelict since 1978 and is one of the handful of buildings remaining from the Parkside Lunatic Asylum as the site was named on opening in 1870. The imposing 3-storey edifice belongs to Arts SA, and the Adelaide Central School of Art has a long-term lease option. There are no current development plans. . .
