Wongrowitz, Germany (1881). He attended the universities of Breslau, Wuerzburg, Berlin, and Freiburg. Suffering from severe migraines, Dr. Gerson focused his initial experimentation with diet on preventing his headaches. One of Dr. Gerson’s patients discovered in the course of his treatment, that the “migraine diet” had cured his skin tuberculosis. This discovery led Gerson to further study the diet, and he went on to successfully treat many tuberculosis patients. His work eventually came to the attention of famed thoracic surgeon, Ferdinand Sauerbruch, M.D.
Under Sauerbruch’s supervision, Dr. Gerson established a special skin tuberculosis treatment program at the Munich University Hospital. In a carefully monitored clinical trial, 446 out of 450 skin tuberculosis patients treated with the Gerson diet recovered completely. Dr. Sauerbruch and Dr. Gerson simultaneously published articles in a dozen of the world’s leading medical journals, establishing the Gerson treatment as the first cure for skin tuberculosis.
At this time, Dr. Gerson attracted the friendship of Nobel prize winner Albert Schweitzer, M.D., by curing Schweitzer’s wife of lung tuberculosis after all conventional treatments had failed. Gerson and Schweitzer remained friends for life, and maintained regular correspondence. Dr. Schweitzer followed Gerson’s progress as the dietary therapy was successfully applied to heart disease, kidney failure, and finally – cancer. G'DAY MATES! Just wanted to share this plate with y'all on this pretty Monday! 1 avocado, 2 handful fresh spinach, 1 small red onion, 3 boiled eggs, 1 cup cottage cheese, 1 tbsp mct oil 🥑🥚🧀🌿

La comida de hoy es el 🌿Guiso de garbanzos y acelgas.
Pochamos 1 cebolla, 1 puerro y un diente de ajo en una olla. Cuando esté medio pochadito añadimos un puñado de acelgas lavadas y cortadas. Dejamos que se ablande todo.
Lavamos un bote de garbanzos ya cocidos (los pedrosillanos son mis fav) y los añadimos a la olla. Añadimos pimienta negra, comino, laurel, pimentón de la vera y un poco de cúrcuma. Cubrimos el contenido con agua rasa y dejamos chup chup durante 15-20 minutos.
Esto está divino 😜😍 ¡os lo recomiendo!.

Day 23: I can’t say it enough - Food prep is your friend if you are doing this cleanse. There is not a chance in hell that I would have stuck to it otherwise. 🍏🍓 To help me out I’ve had to buy a couple of things. The first day, I bought a juicer (see post with pic of juicer). 🍋🍒 The house I’m sitting has a NutriBullet so I was using that to make smoothies and spinach soup. However, I knew I’d be transitioning soon so on Day 20 I bought a cute little food processor. (Pic #2 here). I bought a small one as this house has barely any counter or storage space and it’s what would fit. 🍊🥒 even though it’s small it comes with, chopping, blending (pictured) and food processor containers. It’s really cool actually 👍🏼 🍑🍌 It’s a Phillips, I got it from Harvey Normand and it cost $136 delivered. Well worth it my friends!! 🍉🍐 So here are photos of the first spinach soup I made with it and how much I made. 🍇🍈 if you remember from my Day 3 post, I had to blend ingredients separately in the NutriBullet to fill that single glass jar shown. 🍍🍉 Click through to see how much I could make with just the one blender container of my new toy! 🍑🍊 Squeeeeeee!!! (Is it weird that this kind of thing excites me? * 3 tomatoes
* 4 big handfuls of spinach leaves
* 1 inch of ginger
* 1 clove of garlic
* Juice of 1 orange
* 1/4 cup of coriander (cilantro) * some diced red chilli
Note: I put the cucumber in the recipe because it makes the soup light and fluffy. I serve it over: * a chopped tomato

I don’t normally use the #smithmachine for #squats but I have started to incorporate deep seated squats to help with toning my glute muscles.
I began my workout with box squats on the free standing rack, I worked up to 265 lbs, then finished on the smith machine (lighter weight), going wide and deep. I made sure to step out, pause and squeeze giving my glute and #quads a nice burn.
It's back to the usual gym routine to work off those calories from Lunar New Year feasting. Don't forget to drink up your Vita Coco to hydrate for it can help increase your metabolism and burn fat faster!
