Gestern haben wir gebacken, um heute ein extrem leckeres, proteinreiches und energiespendendes Mittagsmahl für die Arbeit zu haben 😍.
So machst du den Boden:
🌱140g Mehl (uch hab unser glutenfreies aufgebraucht)
🌱60g gemahlene Mandeln
🌱1 Chia-Ei (1 EL Chia mit 3 EL Wasser für 5 Minuten quellen lassen)
🌱1/2 TL Salz
🌱Wasser nach Bedarf ➡️zu einem Teig verarbeiten und ab damit in den Kühlschrank .
Für die Füllung habe ich genommen:
🌱1 kleine Zwiebel 🌱3 Knoblauchzehen 🌱2 Stangen Lauch 🌱2 kleine Karotten
🌱100g TK Erbsen
🌱100g TK Spinat
🌱Prise Salz ➡️Zwiebeln und Knoblauch klein hacken und in Öl glasig dünsten ➡️restliches Gemüse und Salz dazugeben und solange dünsten, bis das Wasser verdunstet ist
🌱20g gemahlene Mandeln
🌱1/2 TL Rauchsalz
🌱1/2 TL Kala Namak Salz
🌱1/2 TL Paprikapulver
🌱je eine Prise Kurkuma, Chili und Pfeffer
🌱480 ml heiße Gemüsebrühe ➡️Kichermehl, Mandeln, Drink und Gewürze zu einer homogenen Masse verrühren und unter Rühren aufkochen
➡️Gemüsebrühe dazugeben und alles zusammen ca. 5 Minuten einkochen lassen
➡️Teig in eine gefettete Springform geben, das Gemüse hineingeben und mit der Kichercreme bedecken ➡️🌱6 Cherrytomaten halbieren und mit der Schnittseite nach oben auf die Füllung legen ➡️bei 180 Grad ca 30 Minuten backen und schnabulieren 😍
Ihr könnt das Gemüse natürlich ganz nach Geschmack und Vorrat ändern. Ist ein tolles Rezept um Reste zu verarbeiten und super zum Mitnehmen geeignet.

Here is the last post about iron for all yall👊🏻 Now why would I tell you all about iron and not tell you about what kind of shit to eat?! As we know, I am very vegan and plant-based, so that is obviously what I will recommend. Non-heme iron is the form of iron that comes from plants, which is absorbed at lower rates than heme, which is from animal sources. However, if we combine our plant-based iron sources with vitamin c, that will increase absorption. Yay, problem kinda solved (the body is complex okay)!☠️
Some solid sources of iron include:
-1 tbsp Chlorella is 35% of daily intake .
-1 tbsp Blackstrap molasses is around 15% of daily intake .
-½ cup Tofu is around 30% of daily intake .
-½ cup White beans is 20% of daily intake
Vitamin c sources can include oranges, bell peppers, broccoli, kiwi, strawberries and honestly lots of fruits and veggies just google it okay.🥝
I did look into heme vs non-heme iron studies because I was interested in the differences in mechanisms other than that of absorption, but there was not a lot to work with. There is def a lot missing in the literature for now, however, pretty much all the epidemiological studies I scrolled through saw positive associations between iron intake and many chronic disease. They did not state whether they were plant or animal sources of iron, which is another place that needs to be further studied. In conclusion, I personally only fuck with plant protein based on what I have read in “How Not to Die” and all the books, as well as the current state of our poor planet, and to save my bff animals, but I will get in trouble if I don’t say something along the lines of “make the best decision for yourself and your life just make sure to be aware of your iron intake”.🙃

Do simple food pics get likes on IG? Or will they loose to pictures of food with impressive combination of colors and textures, served like “installation art”? This is the most simple, but healthiest ayurvedic meal, named “Kichari”. It takes 20 mins to cook. It is a combination of 50/50 white rice and split mung beans. It is traditionally spiced with black pepper, coriander seeds, ginger, turmeric and tamarind.
The combination of rice and mung beans provides all the amino acids needed. The protein content of kitchari supports stable blood sugar levels. This ensures a stable mood and efficient metabolizm, and is therefore regarded as the optimal dish for mono-diet cleanses.
Kitchari is typically given to people who need to support their health, to the elderly, and to babies because it is so nutritious and easy to digest.
The plain kitchati has no vegetables.
This one has brown millets instead of white rice, and spinach (hence the green colour), and is therefore closer to fusion between a hearty one-pot-meal and kitchari.

Hello everyone on instagram that is reading this, I am still very much alive and well. But enough about me, I am here for one reason and one reason only, to get an A on an assignment (Hi, Dr. Murphy). 😂
Today’s topic is the micronutrient, iron, which is important for oh so many things; transporting oxygen throughout the body, producing thyroid hormone, metabolizing amino acids and playing a role in the electron transport chain .
Recently, I have also been looking into some other functions of iron to see if there are any new findings. What I have found is the somewhat newly discovered protein neuroglobin, similar to the other globins due iron being incorporated into the protein structure. The mechanisms of which the protein functions is still not fully understood, but it has shown to have protective properties towards oxygen homeostasis within the nervous system, the retina and different areas within the endocrine system.🧠 .
Due to the location that neuroglobin is found within the body, studies have started to explored the roles it may have in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, Huntington’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. Even though there are no conclusions made at this time, better safe than sorry so eat your fricken beans (a good source of plant-based iron lol) to potentially prevent future diseases that you don’t want to experience. 🤟🏻
What Do I Eat After My Workout?
💪 eat a balance of protein and carbs within the first 30 minutes to get optimal absorption of the nutrients into your muscles for recovery and refueling. 💪 this one here: microwave potato and make a little hole after cut in half, cook some mushrooms, capsicum, beans in a tomato pasta sauce and add the potato (the part you cut out) and cheese, optional. Put in the oven and grill for up to 10 minutes. Arrange some spinach leaves on to a plate and top with potato halves and if you have guacamole. Be careful it's very hot.

told me about this a loooooooooong time ago and i just never stepped up until now. I couldnt find chickpea flour here so it’s a lot of work blending the dried chickpeas and sifting out the chunks. So find some gram flour (I’ve seen it at @realcanadiansuperstore
in the ethnic isle!) 3/4 c gram/chickpea flour
1/2 c water ^ depended on the thickness you want!

Heated a pan with olive oil and added garlic powder. Once pan was hot i poured it in and waited til it was crispy and flipped it. I garnished it with some black bean salsa, hot sauce and green onions. Yum! i think grated broccoli florets would be delish in it! So many possibilities to dress it up 💃or down!
Also I’m giving this GF thing a try because my skin is sandpaper 🆘‼️
