#SelfAwareness ⁣ One of the most important traits that somebody can possess (aside from compassion and humility) is self-awareness.⁣ ⁣ The ability to recognize your own actions, realize how they affect others, and then understand what caused you to act that way in the first place unlocks a freedom for you like no other.⁣ ⁣ So often I see people get caught acting a certain way without any understanding for why they’re acting that way other than that’s just the way they think things are.⁣ ⁣ For example, in a relationship, if you always act clingy and needy and like you can’t live without your partner, being able to recognize that about yourself and then seek to understand what’s led you to act like this will ultimately lead you to breaking that negative cycle, which is most certainly unhealthy for any relationship (romantic, friendship, and professional alike).⁣ ⁣ Commonly I see this happen when someone was missing a parental figure in their life growing up and subconsciously they feel that they “need” their partner’s constant affirmation/approval to feel “whole” or “worthy;” feelings they were missing from their childhood.⁣ ⁣ They haven’t fully coped with and overcame this negative situation from their past, and neither do they realize this yet either, and so it transcends itself onto their present state.⁣ ⁣ Or on the opposite spectrum, being honest with yourself about what truly makes you happy.⁣ ⁣ Far too often on this end I see people working jobs they hate because they too think, “this is just how things are” and they don’t have control over their situation.⁣ ⁣ And so they settle.⁣ ⁣ They settle for less than what they deserve. They push their true feelings away and suppress that deep yearning inside that’s telling them otherwise.⁣ ⁣ But once you stop suppressing that inner voice of yours.⁣ ⁣ Start quieting your mind and listening to your intuition.⁣ ⁣ Speaking and acting how you TRULY feel.⁣ ⁣ Being SELF-AWARE and letting your true self show through...⁣ ⁣ That is when you’ll become truly HAPPY.⁣ ⁣ We’re all on our own journey’s for self-growth and enlightenment. But the only way to truly learn and grow is by being FULLY AWARE OF YOURSELF. 🧘🏽‍♂️✨💯

This was our dinner in Carmel-by-the-Sea, here in California! All from @wholefoods... 😋 🤤 Basic foods, like a zucchini noodles, hummus, vegan cheese dip, heart of palm and homemade guacamole 🥑!! ➡️➡️➡️ Swipe to see our cottage on the mountains!! -- 🇧🇷 Nossa forma de planejar uma viagem 😊!! #workoutwednesday DEADLIFTS! . Ohhh buddy, deadlifts give me life! Fantastic exercise for your posterior chain (think hamstrings and glutes) while still forcing you to utilize your entire body. . Couple things to remember when deadlifting: -engage your core; think about creating tension around your stomach and lower back -keep your spine neutral, no rounding through your back -pull your shoulder blades into your back pocket, engaging your lats -push AWAY from the floor through your heels/mid foot to get the weight off the ground. Squeeze your glutes as you’re lifting and at the top (think granny butt 😏). -breath! Inhale and create tension throughout your body, exhale forcefully as you lift up. -start light and practice form. I like to start clients with kettlebells before a barbell, as you can position your body around it easier! . Let me know if you have any questions or need help with form! Whether it's dancing, playing football, or whatever it is, find something you enjoy doing and you'll feel a lot more motivated to come out from bed to do it! -- 🇧🇷 Encontre algo que você goste de fazer e que te faça feliz, e nunca mais você vai "ter que" ir pra academia! Even though it's a 15h difference, sticking to healthy eating and following our natural circadian rhythm helps us have zero jetlag! Breakfast of titans. Check out this sweet potato opus! Ingredients and instructions below🍠 . Recipe by @foodwithfeeling . . INGREDIENTS - 2 medium sweet potatoes - Optional toppings: fruit such as berries and banana slices, chia seeds, nut butter, cookie butter, hemp seeds, maple syrup, agave, granola etc. Have fun with it! My favorite toppings= granola, peanut butter, banana, and chia seeds . . INSTRUCTIONS 1. Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees F (205 C) 2. Bake the sweet potatoes directly on the rack for 40-50 minutes. They’re done once a fork can easily be pierced into the center of the potato and the inside is tender. 3. Cut a slit down the center of the sweet potato about 2/3 of the way down. Slightly mush the inside of the potato. 4. Top with your favorite breakfast toppings! 5. Bon apetit

🇺🇲 On top! 🇧🇷 Lá embaixo! -- 🇺🇲 21 Lessons for the 21st Century was a book that brought me high expectations, and I would rate it as 4 out of 5 stars.. - I enjoyed the views he brings and the analysis of our current state of living on issues such as political models, secularism, immigration, community, nationalism, religion... He is very clear and concise, has very solid historic background and it's interesting to observe the world around us and understand what he truly sees and talks about - On the other hand I didn't like much when he pushes his views on the humanist religion (not against humanism, just HIS particular view) as I think it's kind of shallow and only scratches the surface. I also see many fundamental flaws in his arguments - All in all, a book which is instructive, and could be interesting to read! 📖 -- 🇧🇷 21 Lições para o Século 21 do Harari é um livro que me trouxe muitas expectativas, mas eu classificaria como 4 estrelas de 5 possíveis - Eu gostei muito da visão dele e da análise feita sobre modelos políticos, secularismo, imigração, comunidade, nacionalismo, religião... Ele é muito claro e conciso, e tem uma base histórica muito sólida, e é interessante observar esses fatos e argumentos no mundo à volta - Por outro lado eu não gostei da forma como ele apresenta a visão humanista dele do mundo (nada contra humanismo, simplesmente contra a visão DELE) porque me pareceu muito superficial, e eu vejo muitas falhas fundamentais nos argumentos dele - De forma geral, acho que pode ser uma leitura interessante! 📖
