unlike j cole I’m talking to the gym, lol, because as some of you may notice I was gone for a few days. in the beginning my schedule was so busy that I literally couldn’t make it; I wanted to but my body was so tired!! I felt so bad about not going because I really wanted to 😩😭
But the last two days was me falling back into pushing it off and I realized Pretty quickly that I had to go back! I remember my sister’s bf telling us about how it only takes a few days for your body to revert back to its old habits if it’s not already set in a routine (I’ll have to find the info), but he wasn’t lying!! __•🥊•__
My workout wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t the best! I was tired, but not because I was working so hard, it was because it felt like day one again 🤦🏾♀️ so I shall not be taking anymore breaks like that — can’t afford to go back! Also, nutritious foods are a must or the workout sucks 🙃

This may seem silly to some people, but when I sit down + get serious about planning my week ahead, I turn on my video cam + stare at myself. 🤓 Why??? I used to spend so much of my time going through the motions with life. I did it for a solid four years, y’all... like imagine high school but over again in your 20’s.... EW! 😵 Whenever someone asked me how I was doing I’d answer with usually “I’m good, just busy!” 🤷🏻♀️But looking back on it, I NEVER got anything done that would propel my life forward. That might be my biggest regret: not stewarding my time wisely. 😔
Now that I’m married, have a full time job, a fur baby, take time for self care, friends + family needs, coaching my team of amazing babes, AND the holidays are coming.... I can’t give excuses + say I’m “busy” yet continue not showing up to my full potential. 🙅🏻♀️ So every Sunday since I’ve said “enough is enough”, I’ve started scheduling meetings with myself. 👩🏻💻 Just like how I wouldn’t be late for a meeting with the Big Boss, i wouldn’t be late for a meeting with the Boss of my time + schedule aka ME! 🙋🏻♀️ We can all say that we don’t have the time to be healthy, to hang out with friends, to show up in our own lives because we’re “busy” all we want, but the truth that I found out was that we all have the same amount of time. ⏰How we choose to steward the time God gave us in this life is up to us alone. 👊🏻❤️
I sat down intentionally with myself + planned out my week with all of the necessary things I have to do daily + with fun goofy things in there too! 🤗😝 I’m super EXCITED for tomorrow because I know I have full control over how I spend my time + I CHOOSE to make time to live my BEST life tomorrow + every day. 💫 I’m also excited because my boot camp babes + I start our No Excuses November group tomorrow. Lately, I’ve been in a weird headspace. The past few months, heck this past year has been challenging. And a few weeks ago before our wedding I nearly lost it to my anxiety reallyyyy hard. I’ve battled with it a lot this week too. This post I made three years ago was a good reminder of what I need to do right now: focus on myself, forget the haters, I am worth it, I am a rockstar! 💘 •

for y’all. Ive been debating on whether or not to post this for the past week. Now, I’m CRUSHING the limiting beliefs and just DOIN IT! 👊🏻
One, thank you all for the engagement well wishes. It means a lot to Stephen and I, and we are blessed beyond belief to have the kind of support system we do. ❤️ .
With that being said, it irks me that I’ve had multiple people approach me about the “rushing the planning” part of the marriage, because it’s only a little over a month away - asking if I’m pregnant... no, I’m definitely not. Just FYI to the people in the back that are thinking it and not speaking up to ask cause they have no backbone. ✌🏻(if anything, I have a massive ‘food baby’ & I’m bloated.. because STRESS SUCKS!)
Now that we called out the metaphorical elephant in the room, why did I post this picture? Because the entire reason I’m pushing SO HARD on this journey I’m on to be the healthiest me possible is so that one day I am ABLE to have children and start a family with Stephen. Yes I’m fully flexed here, and Felt SO STRONG that day!!! 💪🏻

I started my online coaching side business 10 months ago and ever since then, I have grown so much as a person. I didn’t know where my life would take me and what a year from now would look like, but I’m so happy I took this leap of faith.
When I started, I ask myself why I wanted to do online coaching and what were some of my goals I want to hit in my life.
1. I wanted to be more accountable of my own health & fitness everyday.
2. I truly wanted to health others on their own health & fitness journey.
3.I wanted to create new friendships
3. I wanted to travel more
4. I wanted to start my own team and lead them to success.
5. My long time goal is to fully work from home and be my own boss and be able to support my future family.
This hasn’t been easy for me, I had to do lots of personal growth for myself first, I had to sacrifice some things, but I stayed motivated and focus for my team and challenger and be a role model. I’m not perfect in anyway, I make mistakes and it’s ok. Everyday I’m learning from my top leaders and how to grow in my life and my business. I’m not giving up!

What should be the simplest thing ever has been twisted by society and quick fixes and magic diet pills and this and that. The bottom line is we need to fuel our bodies with great foods that fuel our bodies. It’s that simple.
What isn’t simple is hearing everyone say “oh you need to do this” “you need to try this” “oh this way is better than what you’re doing” “ya know you could lose weight a lot faster is you did this”
Those are all things that I have heard from people many, many, many times! Imagine you’re trying to find what works for you and you keep hearing this. You get discouraged and you start to think “wait, should I be losing faster?” But y’all it is not about fast, it’s about LONG LASTING!!! For someone who struggles with food and struggled with a relationship with food and binge eating, the last thing I need to be doing is giving shit up because that’s what leads me to an epic binge. That’s what led me to flare up after flare up after flare up with my hashimotos.
And honestly, you can’t look at this picture and say that what I’m doing isn’t working. I don’t care if I’m not eating what you think I need to be eating in order to be healthy.
Back when I was scarfing down pizza, fast food, take out, and everything under the sun-nobody had anything to say. Back when I was drinking to the point where I would make myself sick-nobody said anything.
Now that I prefer to eat healthy-EVERYONE HAS SOMETHING TO SAY!

Why do you run??? Easy answer... I run for my health. i I run because for some strange reason it makes me happy.
Truth is... when you understand the difficulties of not breathing on your own. Your perspective changes.
In 2012, I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs without my inhaler in hand. I am currently training for my 1st Marathon (26.2miles). Without Shakeology, Hip Hop Abs, T25, 22Minute Hard Corps, Yoga Retreat and now Insanity Max 30 I would have never lost enough weight to give Running a try. Since 2013 I have lost and kept 70lbs off my body. Though I'm not at my ideal weight I am off 11medications. Maybe I'll never achieve a "runners body" but my image of a runners body is one that is healthy and able to finish.
Day 10 of Insanity Max 30, I'm not sure I will workout but I did complete a 5K run tonight.

The more you plan for slipups /excuses in your game plan the less likely you are to have them!!! Plan for these and work out alternatives to stop them completely or have a backup 😎
