Day 12 is officially here. Let's dive into the last day's topic, shall we? Tracking and measuring your marketing plan. Once you're out there kicking ass in the marketing world, winning new business, connecting with new customers and absolutely rocking it, how do you know what exactly has been the root of that incredible success? Was it that one tweet you sent that had 2K shares? Was it that blog post that you had a guest writer on? Or maybe it was that advertising campaign you did that one time back in the summer. While we can sit here & guess, why not let the data speak for itself? 🎁
Looking back at days 2 and 3 of the 12 Days of Marketing, let's take those KPI's one step further. While I don't know each of your KPI's (because I still can't read minds), some efficient places to start with are:
1. Social media shares, likes, comments - which types of content had the most engagement? Do more of that!
2. Email lists - which types of freebies, messages or content got the most signups?
3. Blog post reads & comments - which posts are performing the best in Google Analytics? Do more of those! 🎁 ... you get the idea, by tracking all elements of your marketing plan you know what to keep doing, what to improve and what to remove so you get the most from your plan. And remember, marketing is never a guarantee; it's a learning & testing process to keep adapting until you reach the results you're after.
