It’s Monday! You know what that means 😉⠀
Fun Fact: As much as I love the snow, I’d choose surfing over snowboarding any day. My cousins lived in Mexico for a few years in San Juanico, a small little town about a three hour drive from Loreto. It has one grocery store that got fresh produce delivered once a week. Maybe 100 people live there, tops. There’s one main road, an awesome taco stand by the basketball hoop, a pizza place that is only open on Fridays, a breakfast place that is run on the balcony of their friends place, and a beach hut where we got fries and soda every day. And it was right on the beach, so every day was spent swimming, surfing, and running around. I seriously miss surfing every day and the way the beach was a huge part of everyone’s lives there. It was a different way to live: simple, humble, and full of sun and surfing. I hope to go back someday 🖤

Sometimes you just need puppy love 😍❤️
Life together by your best friend for always = the best 🙌🏻💃🏻
Honestly so so so in love with this photo. I’ll be so open with you - I used to be TERRIFIED, and I really mean terrified, of shooting in harsh light. It edits different, settings to shoot in it are crazy different, and overall I was just not confident at all. But after seeing countless stunning photos in harsh light, and being told by other photographers to go for it, I finally sucked it up and just went for it. So instead of panicking and trying to find any patch of shade I could during shoots, I started to embrace it. And while it’s definitely still harder than shooting overcast, I’m definitely starting to love it 😍 Like you guys. You NEED to check out the before and after of this in my story. It will blow your miiiiiind 🤯😍😂
I was away from photos last week due to a dying computer and a change in my full time job. I’m always a little shy around new people, but I’m going to take a tip from this beautiful lady this week, and let my true colors shine!
Walking in a winter wonderland ❄️💙
Such a busy weekend but one thing I loved was this session with this family. First time taking their kiddos portraits but did their mom and dad’s business headshots this year. Excited with how these turned out! Nice and simple. 🎄❤️😍🙌🏼📸

Watch our Seattle, this sweet little face will soon be visiting hospitals and nursing homes as a therapy dog! My amazing sister (in-law) needed some nice photos of her with her pups, so we made it happen while she was visiting over Thanksgiving. Lola the Chinese Crested is officially certified, and Fazi (a Chinese Crested Powder Puff) will hopefully be joining her in the near future. Follow them and all their shenanigans over @lola.and.fazi
Definitely couldn’t get out of bed this morning. Monday...😩But thinking about getting these gems up on the blog this week is definitely motivating me to get the week going 🌲✨
Gratitude has always been a theme to my page and the holidays are no exception.
This is my partner in crime. He has seen me at rock bottom. The tears, the panic and frustration I dealt with. There was a point in time we’re I was unbearable to be around. Angry, moody as miserable and he stuck by me.
Those who matter stick around when you’re not at your best. They listen to all the crap you have to say, good and bad. They get you chocolate and McDonald’s. Don’t take them for granted. The relationships we make keep us going. Our relationship has been a journey and what a blessing this pale white walker has been in my life. Love the ones you’re with. #winterlove
We’re all castaways in need of rope, hanging on by the last threads of our hope.⠀
~ Josh Garrels⠀
Happy Sunday everyone. I just wanted to share one of my favorite songs with y’all. If you don’t already follow Josh Garrels you totally need to check out his stuff. He’s basically like this Christian, CS Lewis Chronicles of Narnia Hipster Indie songwriter. His stuff is raw, real, and yet it is not always explicitly religious. You have to understand the allusions and implicit references to get to the heart and meaning of the music he sings. I just love it. ⠀
Farther along we WILL know all about it. We don’t know why things happen now. The world is filled with the good and the bad. Sometimes we’re blessed to have a life filled with just the good. Sometimes we always seem to be getting the short end of the stick. I encourage you today to have a heart of peace — whether it’s because the seas are currently smooth or you need to work at it because you’re in the middle of a hurricane, find what you need to be at peace. If it’s reaching out for help or encouragement that I encourage you to find the people that’ll be in your corner. If you don’t know who to ask, message me and I’ll be there in whatever way I can. ⠀
