I woke up this morning, excited about speaking at today’s @obamafoundation
bootcamp in Chicago, and craving some glitter. So, naturally, I could not leave the hotel without some subtle face glitter ✨ it took a lot of self-control (and a washcloth to wipe off the excess when I got carried away) to make sure I didn’t show up looking like a disco ball.
This is the third and last city for the month we’re stopping at, and I could not be more grateful for this opportunity. From Phoenix to Columbia, and now Chicago, the @obamafoundation
team has thoughtfully refined curriculum and presentation, and I have been so inspired and energized by each cohort of changemakers we work with. It has been both an honor and a humbling experience to speak and lead workshops on how to mobilize through social media, and I am so excited to continue to support everyone’s projects over the next ten weeks.
A memorable moment from today was yes, getting people to #fingerdab
with me, but also celebrating @ef_gutierrez
and his 10th anniversary of immigrating to the US (3rd pic). He told us that it was the influence and legacy of @barackobama
that made him feel welcome in the US, and it’s incredible to now see him working on measuring and maximizing the impact of the foundation now. Love this @obamafoundation
family, and so proud of this team. Here’s to a bright future of a very mobilized young generation of changemakers!
