What's best time to go?
On Tuesday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, or till sold out. Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 2pm or till sold out. Not on a Monday, they are closed.
How to order like a local?
If you are chilli lover, can mixed the noodle with sambal chilli paste or add green chilli into your noodle.
Also, sprinkle some chopped green onion into the soup for extra fragrant.
What's the cost?
Only 3 items on the menu:
- Noodle with Char Siew and Wanton ($5)
-Noodle with Shredded Abalone, Char Siew, and Wanton ($10)

BBQ Pork Belly Don
1. Wash and drain one and a half cup of Japanese short grain rice (two people’s portion), add 1:1 or 1:1.5 (rice:water) portion of water (depending on how tender you want your rice to be) to the rice and place in rice cooker. Add two ice cubes and a few drops of olive oil for best results. Set off the rice cooker.
2. In a bowl, mix 100ml of water, 3 tablespoon of mirin or sweet sake, 3 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of ketchup and 1 tablespoon of BBQ sauce (this can be substitute with pork chop sauce, oyster sauce etc).
3. Pour the mixture to a large flat pan, high heat and bring to boil. Place the pork belly down and simmer both sides for few minutes.
4. Close the lid, change to medium fire snd continue cooking for few minutes.
5. Meanwhile, slice an onion to thin slices and with a little bit of oil, pan fry the onion slices until golden.
6. Remove the lid of pork belly, bring to high heat to finish cooking. Add in a little bit of honey to enhance the flavour before turning off the heat.
7. Let the pork belly rest for few minutes before slicing to pieces.
8. Scoop the rice into a big bowl, layer the pork belly slices, add the onion slices, pour any remaining sauce onto the pork belly.
9. Garnish with spring onion and sesames. Serve.

ASSARI YUZU SHIO RAMEN - littleneck clams, yuzu, mizuna in a salt-based, ultra-clean soup
TEBASAKI WINGS - fried chicken wings w. housemade spicy sauce
PORK BUN - pillowy-soft steamed bun, tender-melty pork chashu w. an egg tartar sauce
Chef Shuya sent out some random, crazy-fresh akami tuna nigiri....just cuz 😘
Seriously...this quiet, unassuming spot is helmed by a total ROCKSTAR chef who tends his own garden (for the freshest organic produce), is an accomplished sushi chef in his own right....makes his own pottery (every bowl he serves his KILLER ramen in is handmade and stunning!!!!) --- this is a consummate master at work whom I admire so much; the holistic, gentle, masterful approach he brings to his craft is humbling and we are so lucky he chose to open a shop in Astoria to share it with us!!!
