Started my day with some carrot cake porridge 🥣
I grated two carrots 🥕, and an apple 🍎 into some oats with chia seeds, flax meal, coconut sugar and cinnamon!! I topped it with frozen blueberries, raspberries, shaved coconut 🥥 and peanut butter 🤤
Such a good start to the day 😊
I have officially discovered my new all time favorite fall oat combination...almond butter spiced pear 🤩 the pear perfectly sweetens the oats and lets be honest, almond butter makes everything better! 🙌🏻 I’ve been having this combo literally everyday at least once, sometimes twice...here’s the super simple recipe ⬇️🤪
• 1 or 2 pears
• 3/4 cups rolled oats
• 1 1/2 cups water/plant milk
• pumpkin spice blend (cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, & ginger)
• as much almond butter as ya want
1. begin cooking your oats on the stove like normal with either water or plant milk
2. when the oats are about half way done add in your chopped pear (don’t add all of it if you want some for topping)
3. keep cooking until it’s pretty much done, then add in your spices and I add about a tbsp of almond butter
4. serve in your bowl and top with your favorite toppings -> I added the left over pear, some more almond butter, and a few pumpkin seeds!

What you cook you eat.
So make sure, you eat food which nourishes your body & soul, because your body and your soul will be with you all your life, you need to take care of them the best you can :)

Taking a break:
I am on my phone a lot. Perhaps too much actually.
I’m stressed quite a lot too. My mental health isn’t the best and it’s difficult for me to relax.
It’s been pointed out to me that I should look at my phone less and let myself chill out in the evenings more, rather than scrolling, scrolling, scrolling (comparing, comparing, comparing...)
So, I am committing to an hour every day where I do not look at my phone or laptop. Not at all!
I know it doesn’t sound like a big deal, but already it’s felt better for me and I’ve only done it for 2 days!
Screens have actually been proven to negatively impact brain function and emotional processing. I don’t think cutting down will be a bad thing for me.

Open-faced sandwich and porridge are my every morning breakfast as you know you see in my stories. Porridge is my best friend. It’s easy digestive which is important for me bc my acupuncturist says my stomach is not so good. 🥣
