. 🧡Food is so my love language. So many of my life’s moments have been linked to food in one way or another. Good and bad. I’ve ridden that emotional eating roller coaster many times.... . Over the years though as a result of some health issues here and there, I was forced to become more mindful of my eating habits or risk being truly sick. That was the shove I needed to find a way to dig deep and heal my issues with eating. Shit got real. I could stay on the path of being unhealthy and having medical problems, or give myself a chance to find a happier + healthier way of living. And you know what? I learned that food could still be healthy AND delicious. I learned that I could fill my tummy and my soul in other ways other than mindless eating to fill the emptiness. And it felt GOOD! . It felt good realizing that it isn’t about restriction. I still eat foods that I love. . It felt good changing my thought process and still indulging in a treat only now not feeling guilty or beating myself up over it. . It felt empowering to learn what foods helped me feel stronger + nourished rather than sluggish and blah. . Most importantly, it felt GREAT learning that my love of food didn’t need to be a negative experience and instead has become something that heals me each and every day. . What has helped you on your journey to eating healthier? . Oh and p.s. - roasted veggies with italian seasoning have totally been giving me life this season. 💃🏼

When I started @liift4 two and a half rounds ago, I was doing my chest press exercises with 1️⃣5️⃣ pound dumbbells. Today I used 3️⃣5️⃣ pound dumbbells!! BAMM to that progress! 👊 Months ago I invested in 30 pound dumbbells because I thought ehhh, probably for leg day I'll get there. But the 35s were on super sale so I got them too. However in my mind, I never thought I'd use them. Here I am weeks later and they aren't collecting dust on my weight rack. . . Two lessons from this: ☝️Ladies we are strong!!! We can lift and we can lift heavy without looking bulky! ✌️Never set limits on yourself!!! I should have set a goal to increase my muscle strength to be able to use 35s. Not doubt myself before I even gave myself a fair shot.

These amino acids are classified as either essential OR non-essential. 🌻It is vital that you get essential amino acids via your diet because your body cannot produce them. Plant protein sources are considered to be incomplete.
