My story is just like anyone else's that has ever struggled with weightloss...- my pics current, 2017, 2016, 2015. -
I thought I was happy... but yet, I was always on the verge of complete meltdown. I hated to shop, but hated taking pictures even more.... I was a t o t a l mess. -
I started working out hard at the gym. Using machines for hours at a time, which led to back issues and eventually, s u r g e r y . -
My journey started in June 2015, one month after my back surgery. I was at a whopping 208.6 pounds. I was the heaviest I had ever been, and the saddest too. I was miserable and had resigned myself to the thoughts that nothing was going to work. I was doomed to look like this... feel like this... live like this...-
I am a firm believer in fate... one day at physical therapy, I crossed paths with an old (1993) high school friend. I am sure that I was unrecognizable, as I was 110 pounds the last time we saw each other. Anywho, she reached out on FB as the office would not tell her if it was me, and the rest is h i s t o r y! -
If you read my story and can relate, please reach out, I would love to chat, get you started, and help make your weightloss sorrows h i s t o r y!

We all have different goals in our life; health and fitness journey to be more specific. It’s such a personal journey and I believe as you continue on with it our goals and “why” is constantly changing.🤗
I mean, my goal in the beginning was simply to lose the baby weight, now 30 lbs are gone and I have very different goals then when I started.💃🏻
👉🏼We are growing, being pushed out of our comfort zones and challenged all the time.
👉🏼We can show up, get a little uncomfortable and more often than not, come out on top and yeah, sometimes we get knocked down a little. There is a lesson to be taken away from everything and it’s up to us to see it and take what we need from it.
☀️ 💕Physical exercise doesn’t only change our physical appearance but it nurtures our physical, emotional and spiritual health so that we can live our best life.💕 ☀️ ***

I’ve tried it all and this is what works for me! It works because I am NOT starving and it’s easy. These “little” containers hold much more than I can even eat most days. Anything that takes the guess work out for me, I’m all for and that’s important when you view food as FUEL and not the enemy.
Be careful if you like to snack. This is 30g (1oz) of pecans and it contains 210 calories and 21 grams of fat. #portioncontrol
As my tooth has been hurting and I’m finally getting it checked out tomorrow🙌🏽 (ps. Thank you for everyone that has messaged me with your prayers💗)
It’s been hard for me to chew most foods, so I decided to make a homemade soup & a big veggie bowl with chicken that was easier to eat.
It was so good and filled of flavor😍
Tonight’s din din had me like 🤤🤤
Want a V quick meal prep idea?
1- stock up on zucchini
2- get a spiralizer
3- spiralize one per meal
4- throw some no sugar added sauce on (Rao’s is amazing)
5- add meatballs if you’ve made them (sometimes I cook a lean hamburger patty in the toaster oven at work, cut it up and voila, cheap meat sauce lol😂)
5- PIG OUT on your creation
You’re welcome 😜
Healthy living begins when you stock your supply with healthy choices! YES!⠀
Simple as that. If you want to start from a place of simplicity, look at the environment around you - your home. 🏡 Make healthy eating an easy choice when you surround yourself with foods that nourish you!⠀
🙌🏻Bonus, when you buy more food in its whole version or simple packaging such as bag of dried beans vs canned prepared beans that have sauces or added spices etc, it tends be more cost friendly too! win win in my book...⠀
🌱Featured picture is of my farmers 👩🏼🌾market haul from this weekend! 👉🏻more to see in my stories and IGTV!⠀
What’s one way you can make healthy eating easier in your life? 👇🏻
I had abit of rice with green beans and fried fish. Snack is cheese sandwhich. Later 2 bananas and a boiled egg. After my workout I might eat oatmeal with 2 tsp if I get hungry. Finally I posted something early. Today I am glad I did not watch a movie w my family. I got scared that I might eat unhealthy shit but its all gucci.

When I looked at my reflection back then, it was easy to cover up the rolls, fix my makeup, curl my hair and feel pretty ok about myself sometimes. I knew the numbers said “obese,” but I didn’t feel like an exceptionally large person. I didn’t like that number on the label of my jeans, but I didn’t see myself as a plus size person either. I didn’t always feel comfortable when I was alone with my husband, but I also wasn’t about to let my weight interfere with my love life either.
When I looked at my reflection it was the sick person staring back at me that troubled me more than anything. It wasn’t primarily about the weight when I decided to change. Sure, it was a factor. My protruding gut, aching body, high blood pressure, greasy skin, thinning hair, and the daily anxiety and depression that overwhelmed me even though I had nothing to be sad or worried about... all these signs were just screaming at me that I was unhealthy and growing more and more sick with each passing day.
Even though my weight had been joked about or people would frequently ask me if I was pregnant, I still loved my food and hated moving my body more than I loved the idea of smaller clothes and hated feeling overweight. But I realized one day that if I continued on with the lifestyle I was living I would likely cut my life short, and for sure was not living anywhere near to my potential... I was not the person I wanted to be because I was unhealthy in many ways - the weight was just one of the visual signs of that.
I believed that if I learned healthy habits, in time my body would reflect that instead, so I made it my mission to be a learner of health, and to make one small change at a time. Knowledge is powerful, but it’s taking action that puts that power in motion.
Ladies, you don’t have to eat less just because you’re a girl! 💁🏼♀️
Those “his” and “hers” meal photos where “hers” is always 100s of calories less than “his” are bs. They promote stereotypes and basic needs equations that are rarely accurate.
There are plenty of women who need just as much or more calories than their male counterpart. Unfortunately, society teaches us it’s better to walk around hangry and undernourished, it’s more ladylike. 🙄
This is #dietculture
at its finest. Don’t let society dictate how much you should eat. You should always listen to your body, it will not lead you astray.
If you’re hungry, eat until you’re satisfied, and don’t pay any attention to how much “he” eats. It doesn’t dictate how much you should have.
Real talk, the hubs and I ate the exact same amount for dinner. This wasn’t a fluke either. We almost always have similar dinner plates. I’m 5’7”, he’s 6’1 and outweighs me by quite a bit, but we still eat the same size dinner. All the time.
Always, always, always, listen to what your body is telling you 💕 That’s the only guide that matters.

Nutrition has always been my biggest struggle. Growing up, I would eat a bowl of ice cream every single night. It literally became an addiction & part of my night routine. I would eat when I was bored, tired, stressed, angry, sad, happy, proud, anxious, etc. I would always find an excuse to eat, especially sweets! 🍦🍪🍫🍩
When I began college, I realized how important nutrition is physically, mentally & emotionally. & you better believe I wanted to do everything to avoid the freshman (+sophomore+junior+senior) 15. I thought working out 5 days a week would cancel out all the junk food I ate. However, it wasn’t until about 1 year ago, when I joined this program, that I realized how poor my food choices were & how awful I was at portioning out my food.
The picture on the left is of the colorful containers I use to portion out my food & the picture on the right is my meal prepping container full of my lunch for tomorrow! When I started this program I was terrified that I would starve to death. However, I found that I actually struggle to eat all of my daily recommended portions!
If you struggle with nutrition like I have or just want to learn more, I want to invite you to a FREE 5-day clean eating group starting on August 27! Message me or fill the link out in my bio if you’re interested!🥗🥑🍍🍉
Fun fact: healthy food keeps you full for a longer time than junk food!!
My current meals for the day! I keep it pretty much the same until I get tired of it, then I'll make minor changes. I like to keep it simple and easy during prep for a show so I make sure my body is use to the food I'm eating and I hit my macros.
Kodiak pancakes with Cinamon, Pbfit, Shredded coconut, FF Redi Whip, & Bananas
Fitcrunch Protein Bar
Ground Turkey with Rice, Black Beans & Feta
Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Sliced Almonds, Strawberries and Vanilla Almond Butter
Chicken with Rice & Black Beans
Chicken with Rice, Black Beans & Parmesan cheese -------
Everytime I'm weighing my food in the kitchen
My boyfriend will say, "Eating again". Its funny because everyone else thinks I'm over here starving myself when I say I'm a bikini competitor, little do they know.... lol. --------

Bless her heart. Honestly. Do you ever look back on past versions of yourself and just feel sorry? Wish you could either go back in time and give yourself a huge hug, or tell yourself NO, tell yourself to stop doing those things that hurt you? Physically, mentally, emotionally. But it doesn’t work that way.
Without those former versions of ourselves we’d lack our wisdom. We’d lack our knowledge and drive to do better, because we wouldn’t have anything to compare to. It hurts to look backwards sometimes - heck it even hurts to look in the mirror some mornings but if you shy away from who you are, or were, and what you learned from who you were, you won’t become the best version of yourself you can be now or in the future. You owe it to yourself.
feels more about my insides rather than my outsides today. Both are important. Don’t forget it.

Portion control is another important part of eating healthy!
Is not enough to eat the right foods. Eating the proper quantity is also needed to either lose fat or gain muscle. Eat too little and your body will store fat, eat too much and your body will also store fat.
Here are some guidelines you can follow to make sure you’re eating the right amount of food🍗🍳🥒🥦🍆🍠🥗

👀I love how much better I feel on the inside and the increased confidence on the outside! 🙌🏼 All I did is change my NUTRITION for 3 weeks. 🤷🏻♀️ I’ve still been doing my 30 minute workouts but have not 🚫 gone to any drastic measures for these results. This is NOT from a Ketogenic Diet. I did NOT take any miracle pills, drinks, or chemicals (those don’t work long-term). I want to keep going and I’ve found something I can stick with! 😍
