This rainy October chapel wedding 😍 When it rains on your wedding day, you make the most of it no matter what, and we get super dreamy photos.
Need coffee..... happy Monday!
Monday’s are a tad on the crazy side, I typically start it off by returning emails and answering messages. Then album designs and then wedding edits go into full force! It’s been one of those busy days and I am breaking for some mid-day coffee.
How do you typically start your Monday’s off?
Happy Monday everybody!! I woke up to snow being in the forecast this evening... in October!! Northern Arizona gets some crazy weather!! You can pretty much find me in a cozy sweater, wrapped up in my heated blanket editing for the rest of the week. The good thing is that snow means the holidays are coming- wooohooo!! I may or may not be planning a pretty epic giveaway for this holiday season... stay tuned ✨
Post engagement shoot dance party on top of a hill overlooking the town. Not pictured: cookie dough + pizza party with special guests Jake and Lynley performing a live version of Wicked right in front of my very ears. Special thanks to my best friend and her FIANCÉ (!!!) for saying yes to whatever weird prompts I gave them last night. Y'all are so rad + yesterday was a total blast.
Now I’m whipping out all of my fall photos. Yes yes yes.
FALL IS MY FAVORITE SEASON, EVERYONE ✨🍂
That feel when you buy a house knowing you’re going to get married in the backyard, and then it’s literally the coolest backyard wedding dance party EVER. Tilt shifting is now my favorite thing to experiment with, I just need to get my own TS lens next year!
C H R I S T M A S is coming 🎄
I know we’re barely into fall, but after having to turn away families last year because I was so busy, I want to start booking early!
I made a new page on my website, type in www.jamiecarle.com/christmas and read about what I’m doing this year and see what dates I have open!
Shooting my last wedding of the year tomorrow! My first year as a full time wedding photographer has gone by so fast and it’s still weird and magical to call myself that. I’ve grown so much as a person and as a photographer this year and I can’t wait to reflect and write a whole blog post on everything I’ve learned so far!
Fall is here! Would you vote for pumpkin spice or sparkle and spice??
When life feels like too much, we just roll around in the orchard.
Tomorrow is my first Saturday with no commitments since JULY!!! Im so greatly looking forward to not putting on real clothes, catching up on my shows and editing, editing, editing!
What are your plans this weekend? It is supposed to be beautiful here in Oregon!
My baby is growing up and I’m doing so much soul searching and reflecting. I feel like we’ve had such an adventure and yet not enough. Next years resolutions will be full of spending more time fully immersed in this little kid stage.
I had the best day on Sunday with these two. We hopped in the car and headed out to the coast to capture their love. It was rainy and foggy and just the most magic filled day.
Shake it if you got it 👏🏻 Working on this day after bridal sesh and then on 5 senior sessions and another wedding before shooting my last wedding of the season this weekend. Kind of a lot going on but I’m truly happier than ever. Love this job and all of the people I get to work with!!
I have been relatively quiet the past four weeks. I have felt a sense of doom in the way that survivors are treated that ultimately shook my anxiety to the core and prevented me from being bubbly and outspoken and my usual self. I am still upset. Not ready to move on. Not at all. But I’m taking care of myself now so I can be a voice where I can.
I get to see my flower boi tomorrow 🌸
Married in Maine in the fall. Intimate and laidback. I live for these smaller weddings.
Months of private guitar lessons from Pete, and Tay killed their surprise performance of a Hall & Oates classic. These are some of my favorite moments to witness and capture as a wedding photographer.
Always my favorite photo from a wedding (the bride drinking) who wants to book a couples shoot?? I'll bring the wine 😉
This is a pretty accurate representation of me running towards Starbucks this morning hahahaha 💃🏻 How the heck is it already Wednesday? The weeks keep going by SO fast. Life has been moving at a million miles an hour lately, and I’ve really been trying to slow down and be more present. Wedding season is A LOT, especially when it’s your first. It hit me really hard last week, and I started to feel uninspired. Not uninspired to shoot, because I always loooove shooting. But editing is another story 😂 It’s not the most glamorous thing to sit at a computer 10 hours straight! My trip to Moab made me really shift my mindset though. It made me so excited to edit and deliver all of these weddings I’ve been shooting. I’m ready to take on my huge to do list, and deliver weddings that my clients will fall in love with. I’m off to get my latte and get freaking started 🤘🏻🤘🏻
These two’s fun Engagement Session is officially up on the blog! Go check it out to see who the real star of the show was... 🐕😜 (link in bio) 💕#kaymaebride
We had a blast this weekend at Norah and Bill’s backyard wedding. I’m obsessed with this blue dress and these rings 💙 Anyone else?
Kicking off fall with some love. Happy engagement to these beautiful people, she picked a perfect spot!
At Philly @outfest
today and I’m just so happy to be surrounded by people who are unapologetically themselves. 🏳️🌈
Coffee cup is large and full, planner is out and ready to organize the week! Now, who wants to bring me a biscuit and some hash browns?!
What is your favorite Sunday morning routine/breakfast?
I can’t wait to hold and cuddle my baby boy tomorrow! I miss him so much. Here’s a pretty picture because I miss summer.
Christina and Reed met in 7th grade and both had crushes on each other. 💕 In true middle-school fashion, Reed asked her out in the cafeteria during lunch break, and their first date was a group date to the movies to see The Incredibles!⠀
Christina thought she was being cute by interrupting and giggling with Reed throughout the whole movie. She admits she was a bad first date at 12 years old, but it worked on Reed! And here we are over a decade later, and their friends and family won’t stop bugging them about when they’re planning on getting married. ⠀
To read the rest of their story and see more of these hotties head over to the blog! Link in bio ☝️⠀
Prettiest group of bridesmaids I’ve ever seen 💃🏻💃🏻 I am off to go second shoot a wedding today!! Then I am coming home, packing up my camera gear, and leaving to Moab first thing tomorrow morning!! Let the craziness begin!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
