Thanks to those that joined me alongside Powell’s, MadeHere PDX and New Seasons last night! It was great to force my introverted self into meeting new people. And I hope we gave you some helpful tips on rocking the retail scene with your brand. As an outsider who only has 2 years experience in buying, this felt a little surreal. I march to the beat of my own drum in many ways - I think that is clear- but I’m honest about it. I hate going to craft shows, although I kinda just started my own (@areaindustry
), my buying schedule is totally flexible, I don’t care if you don’t have line sheets or even know what that means or if you have fancy photography. And if you are a neighbor making something cool out of your garage or a young artist rocking the scene, I will hunt you down. 🏹 Thanks to everyone for continuing to support my little shop and all these amazing artists. I just want to give a shout out to all the creative POC’s we have in the Portland Oregon community, who are hard working and keep me motivated in the community.
