so dang happy for my sweet aunt!! congrats to lisa & ryan🌲
“Are you married?” That's a question I get asked a lot as a woman in her thirties dating a very handsome dude. No, I'm not, and maybe one day I will be, or maybe not. The truth is I don't really feel strongly about marriage one way or the other.
I'll be the first to admit that's kind of a weird thing for a wedding photographer to say, and I debated even posting it because OH GAWD WHAT WILL PEOPLE THINK?!😱 But I like to keep it real with you babes, so bear with me:
I don't necessarily believe in the sanctity of marriage as an ideal, that getting married is the epitome of a relationship, or that a wedding is the most important day of your life.
What I do believe in, however, is two people who love each other, who support and care for each other, and who encourage each other to discover and be the best versions of themselves.
And I believe in celebrating that love, whatever that means to them. Maybe it's throwing a huge party, saying “I do” with all the important people in their lives, and partying until dawn. Maybe it's a private exchange of vows in an exotic, far away place. Or maybe marriage never enters into the equation at all because it's just not right for them. Maybe it's as simple as making every Tuesday date night.
However you choose to celebrate your love, I hope you celebrate it for you. Celebrate in a way that feels right. Don't settle, and don't get sucked into the standards that society throws at you. Your celebration can be whatever you want it to be. Get a little “hell yeah” about it, you know?🖤
I should add that if you do decide to celebrate with a wedding, make sure you get your free guide to keeping it bullshit-free 'cause that's something I do feel strongly about. Link in my bio!

These two lovebirds are getting hitched today!
I am so so excited. Over here looking up photos of the venue and seeing other weddings and honestly just crying. I am so so so pumped to document this special day.
Her smile really is so magical. Let's do this!!!!
Last night these two wonderful people said "I do" at the most amazing location with incredible mountain views. On their 8th dating anniversary they became husband and wife. Their vows were the sweetest and I am so happy for Alexandra & Cory. I hope they have so much fun in Costa Rica!
