I was watching someone’s story about how she reached her fitness goals yesterday and I had an epiphany. She was saying that of course she had bad days/weeks, being consistent is the key and to treat each day as a completely new day. I know a lot of people say to take it day by day, people have told me this! but it really didn’t sink in or hit me until hearing her say this yesterday. It felt like her words just leapt up from the screen and slapped me in the face. I’ve been viewing my fitness goals over weeks or even months. When you look at it like that it feels daunting. When you look at the span of a week and have one bad day, it makes you feel like you already failed. Which is how I’ve been feeling. It takes time but it will become a sort of unconscious pattern in your daily routine and you’ll be on your way. Now habits can also be negative and lead to ineffectiveness in your life so make sure you focus on creating positive ones I’ve created the habit of working out first thing in the morning because I know it sets me up for a successful day and gets my mood right. Now the time varies simply because #momlife but it’s always the first on my to-do list. This morning I had my partner the entire time because he was up at 6am, but after going to bed at 6pm that’s okay. Got him breakfast, put on Curious George and got Ripsanity done. That’s a tough one to do, even modifying but we did it and feel great! So remember, create positive & productive habits for yourself. Even in a day you can see that there are numerous ways in which you can attract either more negative or more positive into your life. ⠀⠀ It can start small but the more you notice it, the more it grows! Think of it this way: you wake up late, you’re frantic so you forget your lunch. You’re frustrated about your late start and lack of lunch so your work performance goes down. Since you’re not working at your best, your boss nags at you. This spirals out of control so fast and seems to get worse and worse! ⠀⠀ But if you make the effort to notice the positive, the same snowball effect happens! ⠀⠀ Try it out tomorrow.
