This continues to be one of my favorite little quotes. Showing kindness to people around you, whether it’s someone you know or a complete stranger, can literally shift someone’s day. Not only that, but the act of being kind to others gives US that endorphin lift of goodness. It’s a win-win. Kill it with kindness today, ladies. ❤️
If I ignore it enough, will it go away? Nope. 38 is officially here, and it's here to stay (well, technically, only for a year). I tend to get super emo on my bdays but today is going surprisingly well. I've noticed recently I've been feeling a little down and negative, and there's nothing like a milestone (in other words, my bday) to make you sit up, and get yourself out of that rut.
So, you might be wondering what kind of rut I am in? I think I've been unhappy with certain areas in my life and feeling powerless to do anything about it, but really, it's honestly all up to me. I can feel negative about a situation, or, I can change how I react to it, that's something I can completely change that no-one else will ever have power over.
So happy birthday to me, and to a year ahead where I take power over my reactions to circumstances and dealing with them more positively.

Ordinary American citizens and celebrities donated to “Pizza to the Polls’ a nonprofit organization, that has sent out 9,982 pizzas to 576 polling stations in 46 states during midterm elections this year.
The organization has raised more than $376,000 and, after sending out pizzas to the voters, still had $154,000 remaining which the nonprofit said will go for the future elections.
According to “Pizza to the Polls” fellow voters need to be supported, and indeed, at some polling stations they had to stay in line for hours. Among other complications, there were registration problems in Texas and North Carolina. In one Georgia county, paper ballots were passed out due to malfunctioning polling machines and in some counties there weren’t enough machines available.
