I don't know about you, but I can sometimes get easily discouraged. Sometimes a valley can seem endless, although we may know in the back of our mind it is only temporary. It is especially then that I really have to reign in my thoughts....constantly redirecting them.
Surrounding myself with positivity is one of my ways of caring for myself...all the time, but especially when I am feeling discouraged. Not only am I careful who I let in my innermost circle, I am extremely intentional about social media, podcasts, books, even the music I listen to. When we focus on the good, it becomes easier to drown out the bad...or at least keep it in perspective. ❤❤
They do say that “What you focus on, you receive.” Right?
And Henry T Ford is credited for saying “If you think you can or you think you can’t - either way you are right.”
You see - your thoughts become actions. 🤔
So on that note ... be very careful what you are thinking. 💭
If you think you are likely to fail ... your brain is programmed to find that “desired” outcome.
If you are worried about money - then your focus tends to be scarcity & lack and debt & expense. 💷
Imagine what happens if all you think is self-deprecation and negativity about yourself. 🤯
I therefore encourage you to focus on self-compassion. Learn to be kind to yourself. 😍
Your thoughts do indeed become actions. By thinking more positively - the odds are stacked in your favour.
