Staycation must haves right here; books and coffee! 🙌🙌 I just finished reading The Life Changing Magic of Not Giving A F*ck by @mcsnugz
! I highly recommend it and it is seriously life changing. She has several other books that I will absolutely be adding to my bookshelf. It's funny, it's realistic, and Sarah gets straight to the point about how giving too many fucks in life can hinder your ability to feel the most joy!! As someone who values her time far more than her money, this book was perfect for me! My Fuck Budget has been upgraded and my time allocated more towards the things that I desire. I'm all about intentional action towards the life you want to live! This book makes doing that seem so fun and so simple! ..
Let me know if y'all want me to talk more about the books I'm reading that serve to improve your mental health, wellbeing, and overall outlook on life.
Kids dessert last night and mine while we walked and sprinted at our favorite place💕
You know whats funny, I would of felt like I was missing out or depriving myself in the past if I didn't have ice cream all the time or whenever the kids had it. But now with a different and healthier mindset, I love treating the boys to ice cream and having my treat too. A treat doesn't have to be unhealthy or loaded with fat and sugar, it can be something that tastes amazing and still keeps you on track with your goals.
Today we are pressured to fit in the mold that to enjoy treats and parties etc we HAVE to eat unhealthy, otherwise we will be miserable and or are being too strict. Where in reality to enjoy yourself anywhere or doing anything involves your mindset and thinking, not what you are eating! You can have delcious food and treats that won't make you bloated or gain weight and still have an amazing time with family and friends!
I don't eat junk food to make others feel better nor do I eat healthy foods to make anyone feel better. I do it for me. I eat good food healthy or not in balance for me, to help my body run better, to feel good in my own skin, to have more energy, to take advantage of all the good foods God has given us and I love trying new recipes and veggies! I also love to enjoy good italian foods and all kinds of desserts.
I just rather be a happier and healthier mom, wife, and friend than an unhappy, self concious, unmotivated couch potato.
But this is me. This is why I do what I do and why I share so much with all of you. I want other moms and women who are wanting to eat more balanced, who want to learn to love eating healthy, body fueling foods, but who still want to enjoy the occasional treat without any guilt, to know its possible and its ok to do so. Society has everyone thinking eating good is a bad thing and it makes women especially, feel bad, but there is nothing wrong with taking care of yourself and your health, its a gift . Why not take care of that gift?
