Have you done your daily gratitudes today? 🙏 Almost a year ago I started making a list every day of 10 things I am grateful for with the rule of not duplicating them. I do them whenever I feel like I need it - while running, driving, a break from work, making dinner, or lying in bed before I go to sleep.
It started for me in my yoga teacher training program 🧘♀️ but I’ve stuck with it and it’s transformed my life. It can be something as simple as being grateful for my morning cup of coffee waking me up, to something more profound like my gratitude for nature and moments of solitude and self reflection.
At first I struggled to come up with 10, but now I find gratitude everywhere and all around me. Gratitude even for happenings that would have annoyed me previously, like the elevator not working forcing me to take the stairs while carrying groceries and get stronger💪. Or gratitude towards interactions with negative people bc it makes me distinctly aware of how grateful I am to have gratitude in my life. The result is total life satisfaction for what it is currently, and not fixating on expectations of what you think it should be thus making you unhappy. It’s amazing how something that on the surface seems to simple, can work wonders!
