“You become like the 5 people you surround yourself with”
Surround yourself with people who push you to grow, people who get it, people who inspire you, people who lift you higher, people who challenge you, people who make you laugh and people who make you forget to look at the clock when you’re with them 🍃🌿 Because darling, life it too short to be surrounded with negativity and people who don’t want the best for you 🌞
Not gonna lie, my respect for this little guy increased so much after this fight. It's obvious his opponent is much bigger and has a heavy hand. I stopped the fight because my little guy wasn't moving and was taking too many punches. After the fight, on the way home I asked if he was upset because I stopped it and his only response was "You don't stop a champ!"
I'll stop it again if I ever feel he's in trouble, but I know what's in his heart!

I’ve been extremely pressed for time the past two weeks first because of a work conference and then because of a wedding in the family. Consequently, I’ve slept lesser than six hours and still worked as hard as I could through it all.
I had been feeling extremely sleepy the past few mornings and was unable to work as hard as I like. I couldn't understand why and my first instinct was to call myself lazy. However, I also knew that it wasn’t true because I was trying to get up and get going so I could achieve what I had in mind but my body wasn’t responding well. I tried to sleep more but it didn’t help either. Fortunately I had to visit a doctor for a different reason and discovered during my appointment that my blood pressure was quite low. As a result, I felt tired and sleepy.
As soon as I discovered this, I decided to push myself lesser, rest my body and increase my diet to give it what it needed. And I also felt grateful that I hadn’t launched into a tirade about how my body wasn’t good/strong enough or that I was looking for excuses to not work. Isn’t that how so many of us behave (look for something to blame) when our body doesn’t perform to our expectations?
The truth is that our body does way more than it we give it credit for. Not only does it survive on inadequate rest and crappy diets but also goes through several days and months fighting against diseases without us even getting to know about it all. To simply say that that is its job is being ungrateful.
The least we can do is appreciate all that it does and treat it respectfully. After all isn’t it the home we live in? It is our responsibility to not only take care of it in the best way possible (eat right, exercise well, rest and keep our mind healthy) but also be grateful and respectful towards it. It isn’t a machine to be abused and exploited (as many of us tend to do) and blamed when it breaks down. It is a SACRED PLACE in which we dwell, which makes it possible for us to experience the world and to feel joy and awe.
A HAPPY MIND DWELLS IN A HAPPY BODY. If happiness is what you seek, learn to respect and take care of the body you call your HOME. It’s called SELF-LOVE and SELF-CARE.

“No workout is a bad workout, use what you got and make the most of it!” #legdaydoneright
📝Jeep leg day workouts are even better in the fact that once your legs turn to jello, you can just lay on down and have a quick rest🤪📝

I might as well throw out her dog bed, she's totally taken over my office couch as her day bed
