First day back in Brissy after 3 weeks travelling around America. I have taken 2 days off work to recover and look after my body. Had a 12 hr sleep , a healthy breaky then off to hypoxi for the L250 (bike) then 30 mins in the infrared sauna. First session back at f45 this arvo (slightly scared!). - not gonna lie it’s a struggle getting back into everything after a week of sleep-ins, playing and relaxing. I’ve thrown myself into work but am feeling tired. I’m lucky to enjoy my work but am less motivated about going to the gym and doing things like laundry! Importantly, I recognise that this is totally normal! My 0-60 resembles a well used car more than a brand new, shiny Porsche. I have realistic expectations of my mind and body. At the same time, deadlines are looming and work is building so how do I get myself going and pick up speed?
My plan is to book in a high intensity exercise class (Spin) to get the endorphins going and remind myself of how fast I can go. I will balance this out with early nights, good meals and not pushing myself too hard this week (this includes taking a break from surplus activities like posting on Instagram!) When I regain momentum I can #pushthepedaltothemetal

And just like that we are back to getting into our everyday routines. I feel our kids thrive on them! Although they’re having one last day off of school to combat any jet lag that might be hanging around, they have been asked to follow their morning routine as if they were going to school so it’s not as hard tomorrow when we actually need to get out the door on time. It’s kind of sweet to hear them down the hall chatting about what’s next on their list & actually following through without them getting sidetracked playing a game or whatever else they get up to. Let’s hope this last all through this final Term of school. What are some tips that help you & your kids get back into the daily grind after a long vacation?

After going away with the family I've had a week off the gym and since then I've been struggling for motivation to get back, does holidays put anyone else off? I told myself on Sunday that next week is a new week to start fresh, but when Monday came around I literally had to force myself out the door, telling myself that I would feel much better for it afterwards. I find getting there the hardest part but once your there your fine. People always ask me how I am so motivated and where I get the time, well here it is I'm not always motivated but I just give myself the good old pep talk and away I go. And when do I go? When hubby is home from work, and it's funny because alot of the time he is my biggest motivator, telling me that I will regret it later on if I dont go and kicks my butt off the lounge to go and get changed. I moan and groan and huffle under my breath some days as I'm walking out the door with my gym bag over my shoulder, but as I said once I am there I am glad I went as those endorphins run strong. I find to that if I eat healthy throughout the day I have more motivation to want to workout that evening, as opposed to if I ate crap I would be in the mindset of "oh well I've already eaten crap so I might just give the gym a miss to", you think it'd be the opposite like hey I need to work off that crap I've eaten today, but nope not me. Also totally rocking my new muscle nation tights, they're so comfy! That's another thing that motivates me, new gym wear. Does anyone else find that buying new gym wear motivates you to workout? .

First meal back on British soil was Jacket spud with Tuna Mayo(no pic was far too hungry 😂😂) and my first dinner was Chilli 😍.

Let's be honest, we all go on holiday with good intentions to eat well, be "good" and then you get handed a menu...😂.
The worst thing you can do when you return home from your holiday is beat yourself up for the foods you ate and the drinks you drank. What's done is done...and was it delicious?? Damn right it was!
The good news is...whatever the number says on the scales, it's really not that bad!
I want to share my post holiday routine and tricks to show you that after a week or 2 of being back on track your body will bounce back! .
This is me 24 hours after getting off a flight after 2 weeks in the states.
I did have salads and healthy options while away but I also ate pizza, creamy pasta, ice cream, a doughnut a day (sometimes 2🙊), Oreos, pancakes, French toast etc etc...
Before I went away I was 64kg, this morning I am 66kg. So 2kg gained, which is fine with me, it's less than expected! And I know it won't stick around for long.
I'm going to weigh myself every morning to show you how simply getting back to routine and some good food will soon get you back to where you started.
