When you’re cleaning/decluttering/purging before you list your house for sale, it pretty much feels never ending. And even though you work on it for hours you feel like you haven’t even made a dent 🙄
I need to be better about not keeping EVERYTHING so I don’t feel like a hoarder at times like these 😂🤦🏻♀️ We had to take a break for the little guy to get some fresh air. He was clearly happy about that ☺️

— a great mantra for new mothers everywhere. We do not need to be “back on our feet” or “get going” or “get in shape” or “get our butts in gear” after a baby — especially not after giving birth to a child from our bodies. But really, anytime, moms. Whatever standard or person were measuring ourselves up to — it’s not reality. The only way to get through is to rest. And not feel guilty! .
Which goes for me, too, as I try to launch this #yegbiz
while working full-time and being present with Alex, finding downtime. .
Love all your follows, keep it going, it’ll be worth it!!! .

Do not sell yourself short. You are capable and strong. Next time you question your abilities to climb whatever wall rises up...ask yourself...Why NOT you? Why not you, exactly the way you are right here? Why NOT right now? No more waiting around for the "perfect" moment, situation or relationship. More doing and moving towards what feels right. You can trust yourself 💗
Funny story...I took a reiki training with my grandma with the intent of simply being there for her. I have never understood this specific healing art. Though I have always been able to tune into my intuition on a deep level, I never thought I would be able to access it EVEN more. I walked into this reiki training with an open mind of learning something that "probably won't be for me"...(if you've DM'd me then you know the kind of hesitance I had 😂) but something really shifted for me! It is amazing, the amount of growth that can occur, when you trust, stay open and put yourself in new situations 💗 Huge lesson learned this weekend, as well as some much needed quality time with my grandma 😊
Reiki Session anyone??? (I'll do it for free! 🙌 Message me if you're interested!)
Yesterday I made some bone broth in the Instant Pot, and we cooked some extra food at dinner to have for lunches and busy evenings this week. The honey-garlic drumsticks from The Healing Kitchen were amazing! Oliver kept saying “MOOORREE!!” And of course our go-to balsamic roasted Brussels sprouts from @peaceloveandlowcarb
’s roasted carrots!
We have a great meal plan this week full of AIP, gut healing foods! Setting this week up for success. Happy Sunday, yall! 💜✌🏼

#noexcuses #momwholifts
Day 2 ✌🏻 and finally I don't need to take a nap with my baby anymore. I can get things done around the house while he's sleeping. THIS is the energy I was looking for!! And it took me 30 mins in the morning to complete all three steps.
got real (and funny) about balancing traveling with and without his children. It’s just a great reminder that it’s ok, I mean normal, to enjoy time away from your kids. I think moms especially feel like we’re supposed to cherish every minute with our kids and love the 24/7 sacrifice of parenthood. And of course the guilt is heavy when we desperately need an overdue break or resentment starts to creep in. Except reality is that we’re human beings first. And as people we need a lot of things for our emotional, mental, and physical health. Motherhood is one of many roles I have. It’s not all of who I am. And I need breaks! It’s taken me Postpartum Depression & Anxiety and several years to realize I’m not a bad mom for needing time away. I need to focus on myself because my sanity and happiness depend on it. I need to nurture my marriage. I need to work on my career. I need to watch Netflix and eat popcorn. I need to relax in a bath. I need to feel the joy of not being needed by a small human. I need to take a nap. I need silence. It’s how I recharge to truly enjoy the other moments of parenting- the laughter, wiping poopy butts, tight hugs, back talk, all of it. You need this time, too! Make it a priority. Ask for help. Maybe you need to just clean or grocery shop in peace. Maybe you need a road trip or massage. Whatever it is, let yourself really feel the joy in the moments away. Don’t let it be diluted by guilt. And hey, if you’re not sure what else to do, go take a nap! If anyone tries to make you feel bad, just tell them Jim Gaffigan told you to! #parenting #mom #selfcare #momboss #bossbabe
“The interesting thing about pain is that it is clean. When you are finished experiencing pain, it is over. You cannot reexperience its sensation by remembering it. Labor pain is a special type of pain: it almost always happens without causing any damage to the body. When avoidance of pain becomes the major emphasis of childbirth care, the paradoxical effect is that more women have to deal with pain AFTER their babies are born. Frequent use of epidural anesthesia drives up the rates of cesarean section and vacuum-extractor and forceps births. Epidurals cause long-term backache in approximately one woman in every five. Sometimes the use of forceps and vacuum extractors results in injury to the baby or the mother...each of the procedures and conditions involve pain AFTER birth.”

“This mama had a challenging first birth experience at a hospital with a lot of interventions, so she worked hard for this natural water birth. Her partner -- a first- time dad -- supported her every step of the way. He wasn't afraid to get in the water with her, and he even caught the baby when it was born!" Can’t believe he’s 3 months old 😭 but that also selfishly means I’m 3 months further from my postpartum body 😂💁♀️ For all those new new moms out there, I mean literally newborn moms- don’t worry it gets easier! (The lack of sleep). I’m no expert, but I thought it’d be encouraging to hear that for all those sleep deprived. 🙈
This little cutie is 1 week today!! He is such a good baby who rarely every cries! Midwife came and weighed him today and he weighs 7lbs 13oz. I'm sure he'll reach his birth weight soon since he eats every 2 hours!! We love him so much 💖💖 In other news I finally found my ankles today 😀😁😂 was wondering if the swelling was ever going to disappear lol

I don't know what's better visiting Willamette Valley wineries or spending the day with this lady.
My favorite cousin who I definitely don't spend enough time with has introduced me to the big world of Willamette Valley vinyards and I am hooked. .
This could be a dangerous hobby to start. 🍷🍷
Where are all my breastfeeding 🤱🏻 mama’s at? I make this smoothie every morning to boost my milk supply and bc it tastes delish! But on Sunday’s I get to make it extra special aka Instagram worthy 😆 bc I have an extra set of hands (aka hubby🧔🏻) helping me w baby girl! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Feels GOOD to have a job that you don’t need a vacation from 🙌🏼
I was able to chat with women about their health goals, check in with my bootcamp ladies, my team, and still be FULLY PRESENT with my family while we were up north this week 💕
I actually enjoy what I do, so I never feel like I have to escape from work! and I can take my work anywhere 👌🏼 But I also was able to unplug + not worry about taking a pay cut or using “vacation” time. I make my own vacation time 😂👏🏼
I’m opening TEN spots for my new coach mentorship in August! It doesn’t matter what your schedule looks like - if you’ve ever considered learning more about what I do as a health coach, how I help people, how I make an income, how I’ve met my BEST friends, and more 👇🏼

After an emotional week after the storm, this was my view on a much needed run.
Beautiful and peaceful on so many levels.
