I was told I'd never get my pre-baby body back, I was told my tummy would never be the same once having a baby and they were right. My body is different. I had a c-section so it effects how my stomach sits. I used to be so ashamed of my tummy it was squishy and it folded over my scar now after losing weight and doing excersise regularly I have seen a noticeable change and I feel accepting of the body I have. This is a great one to get you brain and body talking and progress this exercise as needed from lifting an arm, to a leg, to opposite arm and leg ( see pics). Your goal here is to keep your low back/ pelvis neutral (avoid rocking or twisting) while lifting an arm/leg or both.

This week I went against my own advice and did not meal prep/plan or make a grocery list 🤦🏼♀️ NEVER AGAIN! I spent more, seem to have less and I like to know what’s coming and be able to plan ahead! Annyywwaayyy tonight hubby and I knocked together a veggie loaded prawn and tamari stir fry and it was YUM! 🍤
- 2 bunches broccolini cut into 3rds
- 1 onion diced
- 1 carrot diced - 1 capsicum diced
- 1 zucchini diced - 1 capsicum (bell pepper) diced - 2tsp minced garlic - 2tsp minced ginger - chilli flakes to taste - 1/2 cup raw cashews - 1 can water chestnuts, drained
- 250g cooked and peeled prawns - 1 400g packer Hokkein Noodles - 4tbsp Tamari - 4tbsp lemon juice .
* Heat a little oil on Wok over med-high heat. Add broccolini, carrot, onion, garlic, ginger and chilli flakes. Stir fry for 2-3mins until softened slightly. * Add remaining veggies and cashews and stirfry for another 2-3mins.
* Meanwhile prepare noodles according to packet instructions. Add tamari, lemon juice, noodles, prawns and water chestnuts to wok at the same time and heat through. Serve immediately 👌🏼
Seriously?!?! Who knew! Apparently you should get yourself a smaller dinner plate to help with weight loss. Honestly though, I do eat out of a smaller plate and I do think it helps. #tuesdaytip

I’m two and a half months #postpartum
now and after receiving some messages asking me how I already got rid of my “mom pooch,” I thought it was important that I show you the reality of it and the reality is, I haven’t gotten rid of it yet 🤷🏻♀️ I still have loose skin and am still working on repairing my ab separation. My pooch is still there and at times my stomach looks how it looked at about five months pregnant. It doesn’t just happen overnight and I don’t expect it to (and neither should you).
Here are just a few of the exercises I’ve been doing to strengthen my core and help close my gap. There are 2️⃣ different versions of each exercise. Pants pulled up over my belly and pants pulled down so you can see what my stomach REALLY looks like right now 👀
I share things like this with you all because I want you to have realistic expectations and set realistic goals. I don’t want you to ever feel discouraged by the things you see on social media. If I can help shed light on certain topics and help you understand that things aren’t always as they seem, well then I’m going to do it. Even if it helps just one person, for me that makes it 💯% worth it.

A message I received numerous times after my last show, is how I got stage ready while still #breastfeeding
. And ... making a super restrictive diet ( what is considered the norm in bodybuilding sports) work.
I think I need to start by saying this. I love my work. The reason I love my work is also because its MY passion. Then , even more importantly. I don’t train/ diet to fit criteria for shows. I do this for ME. I do not live a restricted lifestyle. I do flexible dieting. I do workouts that I enjoy and do not put myself through torture sessions. So then, how do I do it? I have been doing this consistently day in and day out for over 10 years. With my pregnancies I stayed active the whole 9 months, logged my calories ( still gained 15 and 18kg with respective pregnancies) but I was keeping my metabolism healthy and firing. I’m estrogen dominant so I would gain the weight regardless of what I was doing, the fact that I was healthy and active definitely helped.
I do not have goals to get a pro card in the sport, or be the leanest/most muscular/ etc. I am just having fun. I’m a mom doing something for myself in a life where you willingly give everything else for your family and children. There is no way in the world I could handle more pressure in a already crazy busy work/family life. .

Loving/caring for yourself is a little bit about face masks, massages and baths...and A LOT about getting the hell out of your own way and doing the things that force real growth and empowerment. Real self-care is doing the thing that makes you uncomfortable and pushes you to address the baggage that is holding you back in life. It is saying yes to things that intimidate you because you WILL learn something from it. It means having a long hard look at yourself and making choices about how you can improve yourself and your life. Ultimately, YES, go get your facial queen, have that glass of wine with the girls, binge watch a tv show in your downtime but also... absolutely remember to ask yourself what is serving you and helping you achieve your most glorious potential. Is your brain being fed? Your heart & soul? 💥
Moms... most of all... you are giving every last bit of precious energy to your children, partner, home, career etc. You need to fill your cup back up with things that bring you life and enrich your soul. That sort of work is the most important of all. I believe that you can not love anyone else properly if you don't love yourself properly. Make the time. Work through your shit so you don't project it. Everyone benefits from your healing. And SAY YES, to the thing that scares you.

Life will never be projected in a straight line. There will always be ups and down. One thing that I learn is that we have to let ourself feel whatever we are feeling. Admit that you are sad when you are sad. Say that you are happy when you are happy. The point is: you have to feel it. Admit it. Be kind to yourself then move on! I think being brave to admit your feeling is one crucial step to move forward.

Finding out about our baby girls heart defects at 20 weeks was a good thing and a bad thing. It thrust that pregnancy into a completely tumultuous experience but I was also glad we had so long to come to terms with it.
This photo is the joy, relief and fear I felt all mixed into one. The joy of finally holding her, the fear of what was going to happen to her next.
Tomorrow afternoon she will go for her first surgery. They say it will be 6-8 hours. I am trying to prepare myself for seeing her in recovery with all her tubes and incision. We met with her surgeon and he really is amazing, I feel she is in the best hands. He said this is rare and he sees only up to 4 kids a year with Evie’s condition.
Named Sue for her nanna and Evie because it means life.

looked like - low peaceful lighting, my eldest sleeping next to me completely unaware + it doesn't look pretty aesthetically but just wow! I just adore the realness of this epic grainy moment 💫 Its so rad that its becoming mainstream to consider homebirthing + even seeing celebs such as Hilary Duff putting up her little homebirth clip today - it does such wonders to the whole world! 🤗 For it be normalised; so that by the time my future sons have their babies, they won't even flinch at the thought but use it as their first option! This is my dream for them + my future grandbabies ❣
