I’ve been recovering from a nerve and muscle injury to my lower back and left glute/hamstring for over 6 months but it wasn’t until I formulated my all-star team that I began to see serious recovery and strength results. A huge thanks to my trainer @levelupwithaleana
for stepping me through rehabilitation strength work for my core and glutes, basically reworking my muscle memory; and a huge thanks to @mini_gee
for my improved flexibility, balance and mindset with yoga, breath work and meditation (often undervalued but so powerful when practiced with a purpose), and last but not least, the guy that got rid of my acute pain with his magic needles and acupuncture skills, Rob Reilly from @haynes_acupuncture.
At times I was losing hope that I would ever be pain free in my body, but after just one session of acupuncture with Rob, it brought my head back to a good place and I knew I would be pain free once again. It wasn’t just any one particular professional, but the team that I put together over this difficult, physical journey. I’m looking forward to setting new goals for the new year ahead, and I’m even more excited that I’ll be working with my team of professionals to help me achieve them!
This is me this morning trying out my reverse lever.. plenty of work to do but I’m thrilled to be at this stage now considering I could barely walk in August, and not for long periods until November. 🤸🏻♂️
