Completely feel like I binged this morning but ya know what, I’ve done this to myself so now I deserve to suffer the uncomfortableness! I’ve definitely been underestimating/underrating recently and all its done is rebound on me and make me feel ravenous- I put it down to my mood being quite low at the moment, especially as I’m still injured. All I can do is allow myself these times when I feel endlessly hungry! Breakfast this morning started with this bowl of incredibly creamy cold fridgey oats full of raisins and spices with cinnamon and cardamon. Topped with the fattest yummiest blueberries that I got an entire plastic bag FULL for £1 at the market which is INSANE, as they can usually be £3 for a tiny snack packet! Topped with lots of shredded coconut hidden, crunchy buckwheat and toasted coconut granola, some hidden pb, a piece of Lindt dark chocolate from my advent. I got too cold eating this so I ate all the toppings and top half, then microwaved the rest until incredibly creamy with all the hot raisins. I then had muesli, a bite of a dead gnarly banana, more blueberries in cashew milk, then accidentally found my @frill.uk new Nutty Caramel date based icecream/frozen smoothie and started heaping teaspoons of that into my bottomless pit stomach 😂😂 it was INCREDIBLE! This was a #postworkoutmeal that I put together. And here’s the summary thereof. Here we have a #salmonfillet that was cooked with the #poelle method via #pomaceoil in the fry pan. Then the pan itself was #deglazed with #whitewine , in this case a #pinotgrigio . Then half #lemons were fried with it, along with some #honey to round out the #deglazedpansauce . As for #plating , I had some #mixedgreens . Simple enough. I then made a #stackedsalad consisting of #eggwhites , #dicedtomatoes , crumbled #gorgonzolacheese , diced and rendered #bacon with #paprika , and #lobster meat. Both the #salmon and #salad were topped with the #deglazedsauce and then finally topped with chopped #cilantro . It was a warm day today and this one is the best #postworkoutmeal ever! 🌱 They call it #nicecream in Europe and it's just frozen bananas and mylk blended. I just added a bit of flaxmeal and vanilla protein. 🌱 Served in my new @coconutbowls and topped with blackberries, raspberries, black chia seeds and coconut. 🌱 Put some bananas in the freezer now. All you need to do is bake them for 45 minutes at 220 degrees Celsius. I’ve been recovering from a nerve and muscle injury to my lower back and left glute/hamstring for over 6 months but it wasn’t until I formulated my all-star team that I began to see serious recovery and strength results. A huge thanks to my trainer @levelupwithaleana for stepping me through rehabilitation strength work for my core and glutes, basically reworking my muscle memory; and a huge thanks to @mini_gee for my improved flexibility, balance and mindset with yoga, breath work and meditation (often undervalued but so powerful when practiced with a purpose), and last but not least, the guy that got rid of my acute pain with his magic needles and acupuncture skills, Rob Reilly from @haynes_acupuncture. At times I was losing hope that I would ever be pain free in my body, but after just one session of acupuncture with Rob, it brought my head back to a good place and I knew I would be pain free once again. It wasn’t just any one particular professional, but the team that I put together over this difficult, physical journey. I’m looking forward to setting new goals for the new year ahead, and I’m even more excited that I’ll be working with my team of professionals to help me achieve them! This is me this morning trying out my reverse lever.. plenty of work to do but I’m thrilled to be at this stage now considering I could barely walk in August, and not for long periods until November. 🤸🏻‍♂️
