Hey guys! So if you may have noticed I've been a little MIA lately ... I have been battling lower back pain for the past 3 or so years on and off and it seems to be heightened lately. I got to the point that I felt as if my heavy powerlifting days may be over and I was/am trying to come to terms with it. The chiro thinks it's a pelvis alignment issue that may be slowly putting my disc in danger near sacrum area. Could be from pregnancies or something else. He thinks I'm not too far gone and it is repairable if I work at it over time. However, this solidified one of my biggest fears of putting me into possible retirement from competing as I love powerlifting, but I would never want to sacrifice my health and body. I havent given up on myself yet, but it's going to be a long road of lighter squats and deads, building a stronger core, and repairing any damage done. If I am not powerlifting then what am I in the gym? Powerlifting is truly a love of mine and if I have to find new goals it's not going to be easy.
