A power nap is a 20-30minutes sleep aimed at reenergizing the body.
Napping on your work desk might not be a good idea but napping at all definitely gives you a better shot at being productive.
It's okay to talk to your supervisors about it if you don't usually get as much as 30-40minutes break in-between work.
The brain performs at its peak when it is energized.
True mom moment: after not sleeping much on the red-eye flight, I spot a Dunkin’ Donuts, buy the kids some things to eat, and then proceed to sleep for 45 minutes in the parking lot. I warned the kids not to wake me up at any and all costs, and they didn’t. I assume they understood the look in my eye when I told them there would be severe consequences if I were to wake up. :) #powernap
