🙏🏽 P R A Y E R
One of my best mates @aliign
has just lost everything in the Malibu fires 🔥 I’m gutted at what is happening in my hometown of Los Angeles. I taught my first yoga classes in Malibu, some of my fondest memories were made there. A place that has held so much magic, such beautiful energy has been burnt to a crisp. Several of my closest friends, who I consider family, have lost everything as well. One of them landed at the airport and was told he couldn’t go home, that’s how he got the news. His house is now charred steel beams and nothing more.
This is a chance for community to band together and show each other what we’re made of. Made of universal energy, which is love. What do we really need? These times give us perspective on what truly matters, what we actually NEED... We need each other, we need support in our darkest times. I myself have been struggling emotionally recently and whenever I am my brother has been there for me, and I him when he has needed it in the past.
I feel so helpless being so far away as we watch the devastation swath through the southland from afar. All I can offer right now is emotional support and some small finances. It feels so feeble but anything counts at this point.
PLEASE if you feel called, I have put a link in my bio for #gofundme
to help him rebuild his life from ground zero. If you can donate here, any small amount helps #linkinbio
Also if you are in #SoCal
head over to the 👉🏽 @aliign
page as there are links to donate clothing to others who have been effected by this #naturaldisaster
Thank you to any and all who are out there, the husbands and brothers on the front lines fighting the flames, our sisters’ consolations, fundraising and their efforts to help support all in a time of tragedy.
My heart bleeds tears for you
