It is important to challenge yourself some times, or else you will get stuck doing the same thing. Eventually you will burn your creative source to the ground. An easy method you could use is to keep challenging yourself or do something you won't normally do. You could go for a walk in a forest you haven't been in before, take a new style of photos or use different colors than you're comfortable with.
These last months have I been thinking over ways to challenge myself in my art without beginning to create a different style. So, I'm trying to make a couple of pictures with a color that I have continiously said to myself that I would never use. I started to like these colors after these pictures and I've begun to use them with far more success than previously.
I didn't expect to use this on my Instagram but rather as a profile picture, so I didn't put a lot of thought into what the story behind it is. But, I finished it and I could tell that it told some very important stories. How I see myself, how I want others to see my photos and how my photos actually are.
There is always a story to tell, even if it's not that important or that big. It is still a story that is important to share, because someone out there will be listening to your story no matter how small or insignificant. It can still mean the world to someone else. There is something they say in Doctor Who, "In 900 years have I never met someone who wasn't important", and that is very important to remember. #emilebdrupk
