I’ve been on a tech break you guys!!! I’ve been focusing on creating and mindset this week, and because of it , I’ve been on the quieter side for a few days. A week prior to last Saturday, my family and I self evacuated because air quality was code purple, and so we packed it up and left town. Even though I was prepared with N95 + P95 masks and oils (obvi), We headed down to San Diego, where the air quality was in the yellow/green. It would have been awful to breathe bad air, and as my DH said , “ We have to do it for Roxie.” Our fur baby Roxie Baby Girl doesn’t have a mask :0
I must confess..... it was a wise choice! Not only did we escape code purple/red for 4 extra days, but we got to visit relatives and friends, we would not have otherwise seen. Every dark cloud, has a silver lining. Although my heart is still heavy for all of those who have suffered and are still suffering in the aftermath of the most recent California wildfires, I am an eternal optimist, and carry hope with me everywhere I go. It’s been a while since I had been to SD, and it has certainly changed. Living in a hotel isn’t as lovely as living at home, but we were able to get the celery juice situation + healthy food options situation squared away pretty easily, and the rest of the time we spent leisurely enjoying good air quality. And honestly, being together was enough. I know not everyone has the option to just get up and leave town with a few suitcases and their kids in tow. But for now I am grateful that we have the freedom to do this when disaster strikes. I pray those caught in the wildfire mess find their way and go on to find their peace too.
