It was a promising start to the Unai Emery era putting in a strong performance against the league champions. However it will still take time for the team to adjust to his new style of play. And it could take a year or more to get to where we want to as I don’t think the team is strong enough yet, to challenge with the like of Man City and Liverpool.
ARSENAL-MANCHESTER CITY 0-2
14' Sterling, 64' Bernardo Silva
Wow 😳🤦♀️🤦♀️. • what a goal 😎😎😍😍.
АПЛ 2018/2019 жаңа сезон! 😃
Бүгін əлемнің ең үздік лигасы старт алады!
Jurgen Klopp insists he had “no problem” with Emre Can's decision to quit Liverpool for Juventus.
Emre rejected the Reds' offer of a new contract before joining the Serie A champions on a free transfer this summer.
Klopp believes the opportunity to live and play in Italy was key to Can ending his four-year stay at Anfield. “We always had and still have a good relationship,” Klopp told the ECHO. “I have no problem with a player leaving. The only problem I had for the club was that I wanted to get some money: 'Sign a new contract and then we'll sell you!' But that wasn't really realistic.
There was never a problem between Emre and I.
Emre is 24 now. Playing in another country can be a life target: 'I've spent four years in England, now I want to go somewhere else.' Why not? He's a top player and he's gone to a top club, it's all good."
"We knew early enough that it was pretty likely he would leave and we were able to plan," Klopp added. "There was nothing to say about it during the season. If I had said to people in March 'Yes, he will leave 100%' then immediately people would have thought he wouldn't give his all any more. "I knew Emre would give everything. He was desperate to play in the last few games. It was only possible in the last one but not in the best shape because of the injury.
Now he's in Turin, we're here and it's all good."

The football season is back !!
Jürgen Klopp has paid a heartfelt tribute to Danny Ings after it was confirmed the striker will leave Liverpool to join Southampton.
“He is such an outstanding boy. Honestly, if you could bottle character and spirit, his would sell worldwide - he is so incredibly positive and full of energy. But we won’t just miss his character because he is a footballer who has all the tools.
What is clear is that in his time here he had zero luck really, certainly in my time. Before joining I tried to watch as many games on tape as I could from the season so far and Danny Ings stood out as someone I was really looking forward to coaching.
We all know his story and the bad luck he has had since then.
It’s why the other emotion is that of being pleased for Danny that he has such a good move and his future is now very bright.
When he said to us he thinks this is the window it might be best to look elsewhere, for the sake of his career and playing more regular football, it was clear early on that Southampton has great appeal to him personally. It’s his home, his family is there, it’s his boyhood club. They have a great manager and I think the supporters and him will feed off each other’s passion and energy.
So we say farewell to a friend, but for Danny I know the best chapters in his personal story are still to be written. He is as fit now as at any point of his career I would bet and he just requires the opportunity.
He has that opportunity and on behalf of his Liverpool family we say good luck Danny and we will miss you.”

Danny Ings has completed a £20 million move to Southampton, initially on a season-long loan but with a commitment for an additional three years.
Ings completed a complicated switch to St Mary’s after the club’s agreed the structure of payments ahead of the close of business.
Although his first year will be on loan, Southampton have committed to buy the striker on July 1, 2019. Liverpool are guaranteed £18 million, with a further £2 million based on appearances.
Ings said:“It feels great. Obviously travelling down it felt kind of strange at first! I’m over the moon to come home and be close to my family,” Ings reflected.
Rveryone was aware of my situation at Liverpool. I found it very difficult last season after my injuries.
When this football club came up, I had to take the opportunity to come home. It’s a fantastic football club who play great football and I’m just happy here.
You can tell that as a club it’s very, very organised. From the start, everyone I’ve met has been fantastic with me and shown me every single detail I need to know. The facilities are great and I can’t wait to get started.
I felt it was time to start a new journey for me. I want to test myself and I feel fit and ready to go. I want to show the country what I’m about again.”
