I ran into a snag the other day when I went to drop these pretties off. They were exactly one ounce but the mail lady said that she would advise to add .21 more cents to make sure they were delivered safely since sometimes other scales are not all calibrated the same and can be off sometimes! 😬 So, thankfully the amazing @extrasbyemily
had more vintage stamps she could send me that went with out invitation color scheme! All the post office had were American flag stamps in the .21 cent size and although I think our flag is beautiful, it just didn’t quite match our theme. 😏
Things like this happen and it’s so important to learn from these things. Hard lessons are pretty much exactly how I have built this calligraphy business, but it’s so important to push through and find the best solutions for your clients. Go above and beyond for your clients. Make sure you own up to mistakes and make things right. Don’t take your clients for granted. They are the reason you’re able to do this thing you love.
BUT I DO WANT TO KNOW YOUR HILARIOUS/not so hilarious/unexpected WEDDING MOMENT!
When Bryce and I got married, we had our ceremony in my parents’ backyard in the country. It’s ALL I wanted in a wedding, to be at my home with all of my friends and family with us. But right before I walked down the aisle the ugliest little stray dog walked right down the aisle! We still don’t know who’s dog it was! We were able to laugh about the randomness of it all and someone eventually grabbed the dog before i walked down the aisle. 😂
Do you have a funny or not so funny thing that happened on your big day??
