My favorite pre workout meal for breakfast 😊
Who says grains are bad? Grains help regulate sugar levels, they’re full of essential fiber that helps aid in weight loss and make you fuller for longer, they reduce cravings, they give you long lasting energy, reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease, help aid in constipation keeping your bowel movements more regular and they are just simply delicious!
With that being said it’s important to eat the right kinds of grains. You want the least processed, least ingredients and whole form or sprouted form. For weight loss choosing grains low on the glycemic index is very important. My favorite grains are oat bran, Scottish oats, steel cut oats (the quicker the oat’s cook time the more processed it is and the higher it is on the glycemic index), quinoa, darker grains of rice, buckwheat, and amaranth.
In this bowl of goodness I have cooked oat bran with ground flax seeds. Once it’s cooked I’ll add in some egg whites stirring often till they are cooked into the oats (they add protein which is tasteless and makes the oats more fluffy). I will then add some sun warrior rice protein for extra taste, sprinkle some stevia and cinnamon and mix. I scoop it into a bowl and then I will top it all off with heated FROZEN blueberries (as they thaw it creates a blueberry sauce consistency). Then I will top with almond/coconut milk and breakfast is served. This meal has health low glycemic carbohydrates to fuel my workout. It also has low glycemic fruit to give me a faster boost of energy and gives a mouth full of flavor. It’s full of protein and has healthy fats!
You can mix things up and add goji berries, cooked apples, hemp seeds instead of flax, or banana and nut butter with cocoa. I’ve always had a weird relationship with my body. Some days I love it and worship it and other days I’m ashamed of it and cover myself with baggy clothes. I never knew how to pick out supplements for working out, how to diet.I had never really figured out how to properly fuel my body, at least until now. 😏
For months I told myself I couldn’t “afford” the proper nutrition. I literally told myself I couldn’t afford to take care of my body and give it what it needed. (Still mad at myself for that one) I barely slept at night but instead slept all day. And I needed a nap 2 hours after I woke up. I felt like I didn’t have enough time in the day and I was constantly stressing because of it. 💤
As soon as I got my hands on the money, I changed my situation. Not only did I snatch the products for myself, I went full throttle and signed up to promote. I mean honestly..buy products once and never pay for them again? Hell yeah! There wasn’t a price difference anyways so why not. 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ Not only was I changing my life I can now help other people change theirs. 🧡
Every night my Rest has me asleep within 15 minutes. 🤩Every morning, within 20 minutes, I do my 3 step and I COME ALIVE. 😍 I’m able to get up at 6:30 AM, clean house, go to class, go to work, go to the gym, and still be awake. I can’t remember when the last time I had a nap was. I feel on top of the world. On my second day I was already making sales. The momentum keeps building and I keep pushing. ——————————————

The number one approach i use is the pre workout meal is usually 30- 60 min. Before you train and it’s not a BIG ONE. I usually have 6 oz of protein, and 3/4 cup of white rice. Everyday changes depending on what i train and what my goal is whether it is to get lean or bulk. 🔨🔨

that I could prep and grab at the crack of dawn to fuel my body. I was following #timednutrition
and felt amazing. The combination of workouts and the meal plan gave me the best results I’ve EVER seen.... EVER.
But summer rolled around and I decided to be a little more relaxed with my meal plan and just go with the flow. Still loosely following a plan, but nothing wild! I sat outside and enjoyed my morning muffins with my #coffeeandghee
while the littles played. That meant my workouts were #fasted
and I realized that my body doesn’t work well with that. After weaning Sam in June, my body was angry with hormones🤬 and the results I had gotten over the winter were fading. 😩 Just winging it wasn’t working so I made the decision to get back to what did.
This week was my first week doing timed nutrition again. It has been super hard to eat so much food at 5:00 AM🤢 But having gone through this, I know that my body will adjust and crave that preworkout meal next week.

Breakfast is supposed to be the most important meal of the day but I’m not a fan! I know I should be getting protein and complex carbs first thing in the morning but all my tummy wants is a donut!! Trying to remedy that with breakfasts that are simple and healthy but not just steak and eggs 🤢. Today I made oatmeal with blueberries and protein powder and topped with pepitas and hemp hearts, with a dragonfruit smoothie with protein added and topped with matcha powder. I’m feeling full and ready for my workout!

to 2018 Competition season. The last few years of competing I’ve been off and peaked wrong or to damn early, but this year I’m not playing nice. I’ve set goals for myself in life high, super high, hard and almost unrealistic 2019 is my damn year I won’t be the nice guy anymore. I’ve tasted 5th place,2nd place and even 4th place I won’t lie it’s not what I wanted but I’ll be humble and say this if I lost I lost to the better man or men. See this lifestyle of competing isn’t easy I don’t give a damn what you hear or heard dedicating 8-16 weeks to fasted cardio and training,strict diets, the mental,emotional, & physical struggles isn’t easy. See this is a physical sport but it’s way more of a damn mental sport. If the shit was easy anyone and everyone could do this but they aren’t. I’m 17 now & started competing at 15 buttttt,,,my self discipline is higher than most adults. I love this shit and I’ll die knowing I made a huge impact in the industry not now but down my road. Most get the wrong impression or even think anyone that competes is an ass, the girls or guys but actually no that’s wrong. See y’all don’t see the things a lot of us do in the industry being positive,giving back, charity events, working with the church, and so much more. I wanna make my last name known in the future and I’ll push my self in the sport of bodybuilding and my division as a men’s physique athlete especially with a new face in the highest caliber/pro league @brvndonflexx

This would be my everyday meal before I hit the gym. So I'd have a mix of protein (eggs) carbs (multi grain bread) and some caffeine (black coffee).
I intent on having this meal so that when I bust my ass in the gym, it doesn't let me faint or give up!
I don't believe eating less is the solution, I constantly like to battle between eating and workout.
Don't let either of them to overtake the other, just keep that equilibrium! 💪🏻

Fuck my life, my car couldn’t work. It can’t even be start🤦🏻♀️ thanks to the heavy rain, I think the flood water entered into the engine but thanks God it tried it best to reach and parked at a parking lot (despite its not my own). I was really panic and I am so afraid of this kind of feeling, it reminds me of those bad days in the UK. After call my parents and chilled down a bit, I left a note on my car and also informed the parking management, I hope the owner don’t mind to park at my parking lot first before I found someone to fix my car. Also thanks God that my colleague can fetch me to work tomorrow morning and another colleague’s father knows a car mechanic. I hope everything goes well, I feel lucky and better this time. At least I am not alone this time.
