I recently picked up the oversized Bmb MPM Prime. I've conflicting thoughts on it. It is beyond gorgeous in hand, it's like a premium statue if you ask me. The added shoulder parts and chest bits add a lot to its character, and make it look that little bit better than the standard mpm prime.
The paint work on it is amazing, but some of the parts scratch easily. It's lovely and metallic with deep blues and great flame details.
Joints are nice, but I'd say too stiff in places. The trigger finger is a right pain in the ass at times. Rotating the biceps makes you feel like you're putting undue stress on things. The new spring loaded shoulders are curved and add a lot to it, but they're on this tiny little armature, and on mine at least both had stress marks out of the box. It's cool seeing them at work though as they move out of the way by themselves as you move the arms, but again with them so fragile moving the arms or bicep means you need to be more careful than you would be with the standard build.
Transformation is basically the same, with 2 small differences. The spring loaded shoulders cannot be tabbed in properly until the transformation is basically complete. And 2 little panels that flesh out the chest in bot, fold up to hide away.
I think due to the size it was a lot more difficult to transform than the normal one. I tried my best to get it all tabbed together in alt mode, but in the end I gave up. it comes with 4 different tyres, just standard ones. The installed ones are meant to look like 2 tyres compressed into one. 2 swords, 2 guns, 2 hooks and an axe. He holds them tightly... So much so that I actually couldn't get him to let go and thought I was going to break the ace trying to untab it. The grip is strong enough without tabbing thankfully, so he can still hold them. I had trouble tabbing the swords and hooks into the slots behind the hand, could shave the plastic down a bit and it would be easier I think.
