Facebook will now ban “bad” businesses from advertising.
Facebook has announced a new global policy that will allow users that have had problems with businesses to be able to file a complaint with them if they made a purchase with said business after clicking on their Facebook ads. After a review, and if enough complaints are filed about a single business Facebook may stop them from running ads on their platform. There is no report if this would become permanent at this time, but either way, if your business relies on the Facebook platform, it could hinder your business greatly. The new policy is meant to help Facebook fight back against advertising abuse on its platform and trying to prevent “bad shopping experiences,” which can cost customers and make them frustrated with Facebook, too.

If your business is about making the customer experience a great one you may have nothing to worry about but a real worry is what if a significant amount of people decide to attack one business just because to have it removed and it actually happens. Anyone who has ever used the Facebook advertising platform knows that getting a resolution could take a great amount of time. Lets not even mention that any amount of time being away from your customers could cause a significant loss for any company. Your competitors, on the other hand, may find themselves at a disadvantage to you on Facebook if they’re not keeping their customer happy. The policy as a whole could have more positive than negative affects. It will definitely begin to weed out the poor competition!
