HOTEL REVIEW: Hotel Eden Roma
The Dorchester Collection is by far my favorite hotel brand in the world. I have always appreciated their consistency in service and their flexibility in accommodating guests’ needs.
SERVICE: Rested on top of a hill, Hotel Eden provides excellent Forbes 5-Star service and restored facilities that took 18 months to renovate! Quality into details is truly a factor they value here. The lovely front desk is a large slab of marble carved intricately into floral patterns. When I arrived, I was assisted by a group of bellmen and staff members that effectively and smoothly checked me in and brought up my luggage — with a smile, of course.
ROOMS: One word—STUNNING. The renovation was worth the wait. The rooms oozed glamour with light-wood lacquer finishes and candlelit-colored ceiling accent lights. Giant slabs of Carrera marble lined the floors of the foyer and the bathroom. The bathroom also had a towel warmer and gold accent faucet fixtures, making it a truly luxurious stay.
LOCATION: Unless you are really into aerobics, walking up the hill from the city every day can be a challenge; however, the views are worth the trade-off, as you can see all of Rome (including the Vatican City) from the room and the rooftop terrace, where they serve a delicious breakfast buffet.
HIGHLIGHTS: I definitely love returning to Dorchester properties. They have the best staff who truly care about your well-being. I always receive a box of mints upon check-out as a departing refreshment. Additionally, I love Dorchester’s approach in making their hotels incredibly high tech. My room was installed with a 55-inch Bang&Olufsen TV, B&O speakers, Google Chromecast, and Samsung tablets to control the lighting, temperature, and housekeeping services.
HOW SNATCHED AM I: 💆🏻♂️💆🏻♂️💆🏻♂️💆🏻♂️💆🏻♂️ Long live Dorchester.🙌🏻
