In these private sessions I will pull cards with you at the beginning of the practice and customize a sequence for you based on the themes expressed in the cards.

6 years ago this spring, I began teaching yoga. What started as a fun hobby in college, I never could have imagined how far it would take me, as a student and a teacher. ✨✨ Through cross-country moves, no one showing up to class, and debilitating physical pain, I haven’t taken a real break from leading group classes since 2012. ✨✨ Bittersweet to be leading my last 2 group classes (for now!) in the gorgeous, welcoming @coldspringyoga studio this evening. ✨✨ I will continue to work one-on-one with you, either in the Hudson Valley or NYC, please get in touch if you’d like to try a private session, it’s truly the best way to enhance your practice and change your life. ✨✨ To all of my students, family, and friends who have shown up to classes these past years, THANK YOU. I love preparing for one-on-one sessions. .

Believe me friends, sadly it has become a “thing”. Amongst both children and adults. It isn’t just about cell phone use, it is from use of everything and all things we do that rounds our shoulders forward, creates an anterior pelvic tilt, curves our spine forward and head tilted down.
Prolong computer/laptops use, poor posture while sitting/standing.
👉🏻Look at the degree of tilt and weight we are putting on our spine in each progressing example.
👇🏻 How can you change/reverse this?
Awareness of your posture! •How long have you been on your phone or electronic device? Take a break, LOOK ☝🏻. •Stand up and walk for 5 min for every 30 min of sitting.
•Soften your shoulders down the spine or try to align them with your clavicle bones.
•Take deep breathes and lift your heart on your inhales. Soften the shoulders down the spine on your exhales.
•Strengthen the muscles that attach to the spine. YOGA
•Lengthen and release all muscles that feel tense or areas that you feel limited ROM (range of movement.)
•Stretching, foam rolling, gentle neck rolls, active isolated movements.
•Balance the mind, body, release built up lactic acid in the muscles, decrease inflammation, lengthen, eliminate tension and pain through THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE.
