Wheels wheels wheels πŸš™ I don’t feel like I make much progress in this pose so it’s good to see a side by side like this. This is Sept-Nov. I can see that I am making some progress in my back, chest and shoulders, and most importantly it’s starting to feel a lot more open and strong. It’s always a struggle for me to not bring a sports love of winning into yoga after having been into competitive sport for so long. Here's a new workout that I came up with yesterday, I call it, SUPER-REPS800, a 800 rep full body superset workout and its not for the faint hearted!! - A superset is a form of training in which you move quickly from one exercise to a separate exercise without taking a break for rest in between the two exercises. In this case, there are 40 reps in one superset. You will take a brief break to catch your breath or grab a drink of water between supersets then you go again! - This is an intense workout. I actually put 4 guys at my gym through it last night, and boy, you should have seen the aftermath! Anthony's hormone scan showed us the top three hormones that were affecting his health and fat loss: 1) Chronically high stress hormone 2) Disrupted sleep hormones 3) Insulin resistance - not being able to use carbs as fuel, rather storing them as fat. Next we needed to figure out why these hormones were disrupted. His questionnaires revealed exactly why: 1) Besides work being stressful, he wasn't making enough stomach acid, which didn't allow him to digest food well. Also he wasn't absorbing the nutrients from his healthy meals. Lastly his large intestine and colon were stressed with a possible yeast overgrowth. The health of the gut tends to be one of the biggest stressors for more people. So we went through the process of repairing and rebuilding his gut, including a Candida cleanse. He is currently working on a parasite cleanse. 2) His brain chemistry test showed us that although he would fall asleep fast and sleep through the night, his brain would not calm down. As a result his quality of sleep was not good enough for fat loss. To calm his brain, we started supplementing with phosphatidyl serine along with a hot shower and breathing exercises before bed. 3) Although he ate clean overall, he had been under eating protein and carbs. That along with deficiency in zinc, omega3s, magnesium, were disrupting his blood sugar. He had trained his body to store fat. For the first 4-6 weeks, his nutrition was mainly protein, veggies and fats. Carbs were only postworkout. After that, as he got leaner, we increased his carbs . Total brag post but I've been told to acknowledge my achievements more often; many times and I think this opens an opportunity to go through what I've been working on the past 9 months... I started my twitch channel in february with the premise of being consistent, I achieved affiliate in june with the help of friends and #spocarmy , I also started my low carb diet(lots of spinnich, Hommus wholemeal bread and rice thins) and started doing a half hour walk everyday, I've lost 20kgs in one year, you can see my six pack returning.😁 Although the bfa xpac launch didn't go as planned due to misscommunications with partners (guilds) I still managed to get my aotc on week3 in a pug which is good enough for me, better luck next xpac/raid I guess... Although I have done quite a lot between February and now I am still quite dissapointed that all of my job seeking efforts haven't paid off (10months still no job) but it's not too late I still may achieve that this year 🀞🀞🀞. 5 years difference πŸ’ͺ🏽 this time 5 years ago I was going out most nights, eating shit constantly, doing no exercise and generally feeling shit about myself! I didn’t feel comfortable in anything I wore, I hated looking at myself in the mirror but continued to indulge in everything. 5 years on and I still enjoy myself, treat myself to foods that I enjoy and go out when I feel like it but my lifestyle has completely changed. - - I exercise because I want to and not because I feel I have to, I eat healthier foods because it’s good for my body and just generally look after myself more. My current back shape standing in 94kg. Fun fact: only heavy movement that I do is weighted chin-ups. Everything else is done on cables and machines with no momentum and just pure control. I saw everytime he would hide behind food. He didnt care anymore . He let himself go... see all the times i tried he didnt want the help from me or anyone.... ppl used him not for his looks but for his $$$ .
