I never thought I would be where I am today, and always thought and dreamed of being an Air Force Pilot. After I was no longer qualified after an accident in 2005, I didn’t know where I was going. But my passion to learn and continue to be the hardest worker in the room has got me to where I am today. When life knocks you down, the true YOU will find a way to survive. We are only constrained to the limits we set. How are you going to get here? @underarmour@therock#WillFindsAWay#underarmour#teamua#neverfull#projectrock
@therock - #ProjectRock is bigger than a brand or product.
It’s a mentality.
The mentality that everyday is an opportunity to chase the vision, believing it can be done, then putting in the work to make it happen.
Success that comes easy, is very fleeting and has no backbone or staying power. F*ck easy.
We’re proud to be the hardest workers in the room. We’re proud to get our assess kicked, get back up, dust ourselves off, smile and say now watch what I do now.
I don’t care who you are, what color you are, where you come from or what you do for a living.
Just give me all you got.
Pretty happy with today's workout. Although I'm not a fan of working in this heat, working out in this heat is a lot of fun.
Hit things pretty heavy and pretty hard today.
Started off with a set of deads. A narrower scope on the weight but upping my reps slightly to push myself back to 230kg.
My hands held up slightly better today although, it definitely did them more harm than good.
Hit my traps and biceps next with an old favourite. Trap Bar Shrugs/EZ Bar Curls. 100kg and 35kg respevitvely. Managed 2x10 and dropped to 1x8 for the last set. Great superset and great movement back to back. Really gets me amped up.
More back next with Lat Raises and Bodyweight Gymnast Ring Pull ups. 10kg an arm for the raises. 3x10 back to backed with 3x6 for the pulls. 48 reps in total.
Hit the Chest Fly next. When I injured my knee, I did so much chest work that it ballooned so quickly that I just kept working it. Now I'm trying to keep things more structured but I'm certainly not going to leave it out. 73kg. 3x10. Done.
Did a bit more miscellaneous stuff than usual today. 4 sets of Standing Russian Twists. 20kg plate for 4x20. 3 sets of 8 Double Bosu Balance Push Ups and 2 sets of 6 beam pulls.
Stretches and done.
First week with the new regime hasn't been has difficult as I expected, not physically. I'm finding my training very emotionally demanding at the moment as I'm not seeing the man I want to in the mirror. In lots of different ways. Historically the first week is always the toughest and I chose to do it on the week I go back to work and in the middle of a fucking heatwave.
I'll get there. I hope. I'm just gonna keep pushing. Keep sweating. Keep bleeding. Keep fighting. Keep putting in the work.
I don't train to posture or show off or make other people feel small. I train to prove to myself and anyone stupid enough to doubt me that I'm the hardest fucking worker in the room. I'll be damned if I'm gonna let anyone tell me otherwise.
