There are few workout supplements that hold scientific proof that they work- and protein is one of them. The average person does not get enough protein in their diet and the dietary recommendations are something ridiculously low like 0.6grams per kg of body weight, equating to something like 50-70 grams per day. 🙄 Since increasing your protein from a measly ~60grams to what you’re supposed to consume if your goal is muscle repair and growth which falls around 1.8-2.8grams per of body weight (almost three times+!) can be difficult- protein supplements help you meet this goal tremendously. Sure, there are different types of proteins. There are also meatheads out there who you you MUST consume only isolate protein post work out within 30 mins- which is a lie. As long as you consume a meal with a minimum of 30g protein and sufficient carbs (equal to or more than protein) within TWO hours you will be fine. And that’s only if your being picky. If your end of the day numbers indicate you’re consuming your goal for protein- timing is just a nit picky type A personality factor. You’re well on your way to seeing gains. I be sipping some @runeverythinglabs iced coffee flavoured protein these days as a snack between meals, typically when busy at work. So delicious and doesn’t have a nasty after taste. The only downside is it was a limited edition protein and is no longer available for purchase 👎🏼.
