••• very special day today. My big brother William graduated from Dominguez Hills with a BA in criminal justice. I cried when he walked in on his way to the stage. He’s the most important person in my life. And I’m very proud of him for working hard and going to school. Even though the heartbreak of losing our dad he pushed through. Something I wasn’t able to do. He’s an amazing man and I wouldn’t ask for anyone else to have grown up with. I love you willie!!!! #brotherlove #classof2018 #proud
Never would I have ever imagined myself being out in public in shorts. Or in general for that matter. It’s been a constant battle for years not knowing the feeling of genuinely loving myself and being confident in this body. From thinking I wasn’t enough because my thighs weren’t as small and my jean size wasn’t as low of a number compared to the other girls who were classified as “acceptable” to our society. From going through an eating disorder in high school and starving myself because my mentality at the time was in a place that believed I didn’t have to eat because I thought I was fat. In a time where I was actually skinny but when I looked in the mirror, I was fat in my eyes. From losing so much weight and even after losing weight, couldn’t tell the difference and still believed I was fat. A waste of space. Not good enough. Not beautiful. To now. Seven years later and I’m plus-sized and proud and have the healthiest mindset I’ve ever had in my life. I’m loving every minute of loving myself. I’m in a place now where I can call myself beautiful and actually mean it. 💗 What helped me a long the way was finding influencers and body positivity advocates on social media; many beautiful and inspiring women on here who inspire the plus size community everyday with their voice and it’s helped me in so many ways and I’m forever grateful. Here’s to loving yourself and being the best you that you can be. 💕☺️ #EffYourBeautyStandards #SelfLove #PlusSize #Proud #LoveYourself #Confident
