A beautiful friday in Tallinn at the Psycherence - consciousness and psychedelics conference featuring amazing talks by Luis Eduardo Luna, Dennis Mckenna, Jeremy Narby and Suzan Blackmore, planet’s four leading experts on their fields of ecology, ethnobotany, anthropology and consciousness research. ..And so many other brilliant and open minds under the same roof at once! What a day!
I heard that Jeremy Narby is alone responsible for saving approx 1% of the Amazonian rainforest due to his work, vision and dedication. Witnessing Narby's presence and listening to his speech about plants as teachers, and even as persons, i was thinking that this is what being in service looks like.
I feel grateful and humble being able to be there and learn from these people. "During this investigation, I became familiar with certain limits of the rational gaze. It tends to fragment reality and to exclude complementarity and the association of contraries from it's field of vision...The rational approach starts from the idea that everything is explainable and that mystery is in some sense the enemy. This means that it prefers pejorative, and even wrong, answers to admitting its own lack of understanding."
