We can all come down on ourselves harshly and often, sometimes more than it is healthy to. After all, we are our own worst critics. But take a second today to consider this, would you blame the flower or the environment? Now consider how much of your mental health and its effects on you and your daily functioning is the result of your environment? Sometimes there are things in our environment we can change. Are there any realistic changes you can make to your environment that would result in your improved mental health? By analyzing our surroundings and the possible negative patterns that we might engage in daily, we could possibly reveal some answers to these questions. Minor adjustments can sometimes result in major changes. Surround yourself with things that make you happy and feel good no matter how small. Is there a picture of an experience or a of loved one that evokes happiness in you? Put it up! Is there a trinket or souvenir that puts a smile on your face? Bring it out! While we can not always change our larger environments readily, we can make little changes to our personal environments. At the end of the day it could benefit us all to be kind to ourselves, especially in the times where it is the hardest, as these are the times we often need it the most. Гнев -основная человеческая эмоция, которая изначально была необходима для того, чтобы выживать. Благодаря гневу организм вырабатывает особое вещество, позволяющее сгенерировать большой объём сил единовременно для преодоления ситуации, в которой есть угроза жизни. Полное избавление от гнева лишит человека способности спасать свою жизнь, защищаться, оберегать свои границы. В современном мире люди не так часто сталкиваются с ситуацией прямой угрозы жизни, но часто создают себе искусственно «неприятности», которые побуждают их к выражению гнева. Если взять реальную ситуацию угрозы жизни, то гнев необходим! Но если взять большинство ситуаций в нашей жизни, когда среднестатистический человек испытывает гнев, то это ситуации агрессивного раздражения на внешние проявления других людей, которые порой даже не имеют никакого непосредственного отношения к самому человеку. Это ситуации из серии -«перекрыли проезд», «медленная очередь», «долгое ожидание», «антисоциальное поведение других людей», «хамское обращение» и тп.. И в этих ситуациях современный человек зачастую готов на агрессивные проявления, попрошу с применением физического воздействия, в адрес того, кто по мнению этого человека является причиной его гнева, он готов наказать его. Но В подобных ситуациях причиной гнева является одна из потребностей разгневанного человека, которая давно не удовлетворялась. Причиной этого гнева является эта неудовлетворённая потребность. Какая именно? Чтоб понять это, нужно осознать, что даже самые отвратительные действия другого человека не могут быть истинной причиной вашего гнева. Нужно спросить себя: почему проявления другого человека задевают меня, что во мне это задевает, что я чувствую -страх, беспомощность, бесполезность, никчёмность ... И,ориентируясь на свой внутренний ответ попытаться осознать -какую мою истинную потребность я давно не удовлетворяю- потребность в уважении, потребность в собственной значимости для других или что-то ещё.. *Dal diario alimentare di A.* La guarigione dall'anoressia passa anche da qui, dal cambiare pensieri e comportamenti rispetto al cibo, alle porzioni, all'atto di mangiare. A. non condiva nulla, l'olio rappresentava un alimento fobico, quindi bandito dalla propria vita. Dopo il lavoro di ri-abilitazione alimentare, consapevolezza, educazione alimentare, pasti assistiti (e tanti ostacoli superati) oggi A. scrive così: "Ho fatto la scarpetta! L'olio era tutto sul fondo del piatto ed io non posso permettermi di non mangiare le mie dosi!". A voce ha anche aggiunto: "quanto è bello inzuppare il pane nel sugo e l'olio, provo un senso di libertà e serenità, e poi caspita! ha un sapore buonissimo!". Ricoprire il cibo è uno dei modi per riscoprire il sapore della vita! Starting the morning right ☕
Gestern haben wir einen Beitrag zum Thema „Hochbegabung“ gesehen. Es gab einige interessante Aspekte, vor allem im Zusammenhang mit Autismus 🤔. Was mich aber verwundert hat war, dass diese Menschen wie ein Ausstellungsstück präsentiert wurden. Fernsehbeiträge, Filme, Auftritte in Talkshows. Finde ich persönlich moralisch eher schwierig. Einen Menschen wegen seiner besonderen mentalen Begabung zu bewundern ist die eine Sache, ihn zu behandeln wie eine Zirkusattraktion eine ganz andere. Sollte man Menschen, die nicht der Norm entsprechen besondere Aufmerksamkeit schenken oder nicht? Wo sind die Grauzonen? Doch was ich mir vor allem bei jedem Thema immer denke ist: kann ich daraus irgendwie eine Bachelorarbeit machen? 😂🤔

Febbre, raffreddore e dolori alla ossa e devo studiare. Ho preso un virus o questi sbalzi di temperatura mi hanno fatto ammalare. Ho continuamente brividi e freddo nonostante le coperte, anche se in realtà la temperatura è piuttosto alta e ho anche i caloriferi accessi. Farò quel che riesco per oggi. Dalla diretta di ieri si sentiva che avevo una voce da malata mi avete scritto. Non ho molto appetito ma mi sforzerò per tenere il ritmo in modo da non modificare il peso. Più che altro ho molta sete. Credo che prenderà il via ufficialmente alla “stagione delle tisane”. Buon venerdì ragazze 🦋

What influences academic success and student achievement? Western schooling puts an emphasis on personal motivation to do well academically. "You must learn for the sake of learning" (intrinsic learning) seems to be the overarching idea behind curriculum. Students in this academic environment must have high self-efficacy in order to succeed. Students with self-efficacy choose to regulate their own learning and master tasks, saying "if I didn't pass that test, I must not have studied hard enough, and I have to do better next time." While students with low self-efficacy tell themselves "this is too difficult for me, that test was unfair, why should I try next time?" I love studying Psychology, but sometimes there are drawbacks. Tonight the little girl next door told me about her struggling mother and how they may not be able to pay for rent this month. I think she’s around 10yrs old, and she’s taking on the stress from her mom and her environment. And it’s like I can see how she is 10 yrs from now. Still dealing with some stress from her childhood, because regardless of what she does with the rest of her life, her childhood primed her; having to grow up faster than her peers will cause maturation beyond the normal rate. And although I didn’t deal with the exact things she’s dealing with, I want to tell her to be a kid. I want her to be able to be herself and not have to deal with adult issues. I can tell this will be a domino effect. And because of my interest in Psychology, I consume so much of it in my leisure and through education. So I’m no Doctorate student, but at this point I can’t turn back; I’ve absorbed so much about how humans work and I just want to help people live better lives. I also wish counselors could be easier to access to all people. I think we could all use a bit of professional mental help. . . So yeah, I may move to Canada at some point, they have a nice system going. Beatriz chose to study #Psychology on one of our #summerschool programs, unsure of whether she would like it enough to study at #university . She has just recently completed her placement year working full-time as a research assistant at @Oxford_Uni , and is now a final-year #Psychology student at @uniofbath ! . 🙌 Of her #ReachCambridge experience, Beatriz says: 'Despite clearly knowing I wanted to #studyintheUK , I had no idea where. Through meeting the Reach supervisors, I was able to meet #undergraduate students from all around the country and learn about the universities they attended. Reach helped me learn about the #UKuniversity application and educational system, and also taught me a lot on how to write my #personalstatement and CV. . 📝 ‘Reach gave me the opportunity to spend three weeks living in university halls. This forced me to learn how to live and socialise with other #students from all around the world, as well as teaching me how to do things independently, like manage my schedules, get my own meals, and do my own washing. Each human being is all-powerful in what they can overcome, ingenuously creating defences that have helped us to survive the world with a 100% success rate. However, if you continuously hide behind your protections they become prisons in which we cannot grow or live the lives we truly deserve. The mind is always trying to communicate a message through feelings - our always most honest, loyal and best friends - what we perceive as pleasant feelings highlight that we are currently fulfilling a specific need within ourselves while what we perceive as negative feelings are really our mind’s way of drawing our attention to something that needs our urgent attention, some need we are not fulfilling in ourselves. The point of Psychotherapy is not to undo or fix the past, that is already gone and only affects us in the present by the defences we still carry around with us that helped us to survive, but to give us the security to notice how we feel in the present and to discover what it is that is causing us to feel how we do and then pursue the necessary actions to heal the hidden wounds and progress to greater emotional maturity in those areas. We always know deep down how to move on from our defences because we know deep down why we created them in the first place.
