For pre-workout nutrition, the effects of consuming carbs are mixed in the literature with some research suggesting carbs having a role in aiding performance and others showing no benefit.🧐
When it comes to protein consumption, there is a decent argument that you should be consuming protein within some reasonable time frame around your training. However, what you’ve probably heard, that you should consume protein immediately post workout, is not as critical as we once believed 🥩
Remember it takes multiple hours to digest and absorb protein. ⏱
So if you’re eating 3 to 6 meals per day, chances are you’re going to be digesting protein and have amino acids circulating in your body almost constantly 👍🏻
If you eat too much too soon or near to your workout you’re going to feel stomach upset and may experience some nausea during training. If you don’t eat for a very long period of time you might fatigue early early if you’re doing a long workout.🤢
That being said, for hardgainers it is best to get in some form of carb source before your workout for some energy but not too much food to make you feel nauseous.⚡️

🔊Pullups are notorious for being one of the most difficult bodyweight movements, providing an intense challenge regardless of strength levels.📊
🛎The lat pulldown is a multi-joint exercise that involves movement at the elbows, shoulders and scapula. With one exercise, you work several different muscles in your upper body. The main mover is the latissimus dorsi, the largest back muscle, which extends down each side of your spine. The biceps, rear delts, rhomboids and traps are also active during the pulldown exercise.💪🏻🔊✅
🔸How does it work?🔹
1️⃣Choose your weight and sit on the lat pull-down machine, adjusting it so that your thighs fit under the supports.
2️⃣grab the bar with your hands more than shoulder-width apart.
3️⃣Exhale as you slowly pull the bar down until it touches the upper part of your chest.
4️⃣Squeeze your shoulder blades together and hold for a count of two
5️⃣Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
6️⃣Inhale as you slowly return the bar to the starting position.✅
Conclusion👨🏻⚖️: Pull the bar down with your elbows, not your biceps. Keep your torso still. Extend your arms fully on the return phase.💪🏻✅👍🏻⚠️
