Comfort zones are so awesome, aren't they? .
You're so cozy. You don't have to try anything new. Life just goes on as it was for, well maybe forever, coz hey who wants to leave their comfort zone? .
My comfort zone is a whole lot smaller and keeps me more secure, than it was before my accident. .
I could just stay here forever, but while it's cozy and kinda comfortable, I also know I need to leave it, and push myself if I want to continue to recover. If I want to continue to grow. If I want to become more of that strong independent woman I was. .
This weekend it's gonna be 10 months since my accident. It's the weekend that is going to push me so far out of my comfort zone it's not even funny anymore. But I also know that I need to do this, or I'll be stuck forever! .
This weekend I'll leave my boys alone to fly to 2 provinces east to attend a conference with a bunch of awesome like-minded people. .
I'm gonna be the person who's wearing ear plugs, and maybe sunglasses or a hat, while I'm there. I might not have enough energy to listen to everything and still do a live workout with the trainer that's especially flying in. But you know what? I don't care! I'm ok with that. This is my current normal, and I know it's gonna push me to my edge, but that's ok coz it'll also help extending my current comfort zone. I'm going to do what I can, and then I'm probably gonna take a nap. I'm ok with that! .
It's ok to take small steps, but if you're tired of being stuck, the only way to grow and move forward is by taking a step, no matter how small it might be. ♥️
